"Meliodas" Zeldris growled as he took notice of the blonde in front of him. In a flash he was standing in front of you, shielding your body away from his brother, as his hand was already grazing his sword, ready to draw it out whenever needed. He finally got you back, he wasn’t gonna let you go without a fight.
"I think you have kidnapped someone from my team. I'd like her back, please" he said cheerfully, but his eyes betrayed his whole good-guy facade as the malice that was swimming in those orbs was so intense, it was hard looking away once you captured his gaze.
"Hold it!!" Galan yelled, stopping Zeldris who was about to draw his sword and strike his brother "he's my prey"
Meliodas sighed, not really interested in fighting the commandment of truth since he was here to get you back, but on the other hand, it was the perfect opportunity to test out this old-newfound power he just got back. The fight lasted only seconds as Galan had absolutely no chance at defeating the runner-up for demon king.
"I won’t repeat myself again after this, you have my friend, I'd like her back" the captain of the Seven Deadly Sins cheerful facade had now completely fallen and made way for a much more serious look as his eyes narrowed at the demons in front of him.
"What makes you think I'd hand her over so easily?" Zeldris challenged, not cowering down underneath the intense stare.
"Your powers are nowhere near fully restored, and I'm sure you felt my increase in power recently. I don’t think I have to spell it out for you, now do I?" He taunted back, making Zeldris clicked his tongue as he looked over his shoulder to look at you and his teammates. Gloxinia and Drole had taken a couple of steps closer towards you. They knew the chances of a fight breaking out were very high, especially with those two hot-headed brothers, so they wanted to make sure that if it were to happen, they’d immediately be able to get you to safety.
"Even so, you're still greatly outnumbered. Do you honestly think you can take all of us even with your newly restored power?" Zeldris asked, turning back to look at the blonde.
"No, but (Y/N) is a friend and I do not turn my back on my friends" Meliodas stated as he crossed his arms in front of him.
You saw a twitch in Zeldris body along with his fingers curling around the handle of his sword, signalling he was about to strike "Wait!"
Both brothers looked at you, but you only had eyes for Zeldris, knowing it was mostly him you had to convince. You took a step closer and placed your hand on top of the one that was holding his sword, a pleading look was visible in your eyes "let me talk to him"
"No" he refused, the kind eyes that only you got to see were nowhere to be found. He was scared, you could easily tell by his stiff posture. He was scared to lose you again. He’d rather die than live a single moment without you again.
“He won’t hurt me, nor will he take me against my will” You reasoned with him, but he didn’t budge “Zeldris”
"Fine” He sighed, knowing you were right. You squeezed his hand and gave him a quick peck on the cheek before jumping to stand directly in front of your long time friend.
"Tinkerbell! I knew you’d come" He exclaimed happily, but his smile dropped as he took notice of your troubled face. He knew he was being a hypocrite, trying to get you to leave your one true love, but at the same time, it was so different. You were siding with the bad side, but then again, was there really a good and a bad side in war? Everyone fights for what they think is right, fighting for the ones they love. No one is ever completely bad, you refused to believe that, it’s one of the many reasons why you took an interest in Zeldris in the first place.
"I'm staying here, Meliodas" you stood your ground, eyes staring straight into his green once, not cowering under his intense stare. "You of all people should know how I feel. I can’t leave him, not again."
"What about King?" he asked, he knew it was dirty to use your loyalty against yourself, but he was hopeless at this point. He didn’t want you to be on the opposite side of the battle.
You smiled softly at his nickname "Harlequin doesn't need me. He has all of you after all. How can I be the royal guard of the Fairy King when I don't even have my wings anymore? It’s better this way"
"What about Diane? Elizabeth? All the others? Do you suddenly not care about them?" He questioned, his voice falling at the end “What about me?”
“You will always be my best friend, and I’m forever grateful for what you’ve done for me, but we both know that I was never really part of the group. I should have died, multiple times, but I never did. Instead, I watched everyone I’ve ever loved die before my very own eyes. Zeldris is the only one left.” Tears glistered in your eyes as the realization of saying goodbye started to sink in.
"You know there will be no turning back after you take this route, right?" He warned, it was his final desperate attempt to get you to change your mind, both knowing that if you’d stay, the next time you’d meet was on the opposite side of the battlefield.
"I'm sorry, Meliodas," you said as a single tear finally rolled down your cheek. A soft smile still planted on your lips to show him you still held nothing but love towards the boy. The seven deadly sins captain held an understanding expression. He couldn’t be mad at your decision, he knew he should have expected it, but that didn’t mean it didn’t hurt less, he just lost his best friend “Me too”
Meliodas disappeared in thin air and within seconds, Zeldris took his place, his hand was placed on your cheek as you shakily took in a deep breath “are you okay?”
You weren’t quite sure what the answer to that answer was. Were you okay? Did you make a mistake? You just lost your best friend, the only one that had stayed by your side through all your ups and downs. Not only had you completely shattered that bond, but you had also broken alliance with the Fairy King. The very own thing that kept you going was now gone. Any hope of returning to the Fairy Kings Forest had now disappeared, and for what? For your own selfish desires? But you didn’t care. You were never selfish, you always made sure to put everyone before yourself. It was time to think about yourself.
You wiped the tears from your cheeks and wrapped your arms around the torso of your long-lost lover, basking in the familiar feeling of being home, the feeling you had to miss for over 3000 years "I am now"

🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤
It was in a mere second. If you had blinked you would for sure have missed it.
Zeldoris appeared by your side, placing his arm around your waist and disappeared with you, all the while heaving a smirk on his face and not breaking eye contact with Meliodas.
"(Y/N)!" You could hear Meliodas and King scream at the same time before disappearing from the spot you just stood in the Boarhead.
"Fancy seeing you hear" you teased as you turned to face the all too familiar demon in front of you.
"Don't sound too excited to see me" he rolled his eyes at your attitude.
You smiled warmly at him as tears started to form in the corner of your eyes "I've missed you"
Your arms were quickly wrapped around his torso while your head was laying in the crook of his neck. His hand instinctively wrapped around your waist while the other was tangled in your hair, pulling you closer to him.
It was a moment you both had longed for so many years, never knowing how much you needed it until now.
You suddenly felt him stiffen under your embrace, making you tilt your head back with a worried look on your face "Zel?"
"Your wings" he mumbled, making you cast a look over your shoulder at where your once beautiful golden wings were.
You smiled sadly at him, placing your finger under his chin to averse his eyes back to yours "it's okay, it happened years ago. I've learned how to live without them now"
"you could've died" "but I didn’t"
You laid your hand on his cheek while staring into his eyes with as much adoration as you could muster "I promised we'd meet again, didn't I? You know I never break my promises"
You two stayed there for a couple of minutes, basking in each other's presence, love basically radiating from you two. Zeldris usual scowl made way for a warm smile. His eyes held nothing but love as he started at the woman in front of him. It was a sight only you got to see, and you wouldn't have it any other way.
"Come. I want to show something." He broke the silence as he placed an arm around your back while the other one was placed underneath your knees, lifting you up gently. Your arms linked behind his neck, and before you knew it, you were soaring high above the clouds.
The wind that blew through your hair as the clouds passes you by was a feeling you'd thought you'd never experience again.
You cradled closer in his embrace "thank you" it was merely a whisper, but he heard it loud and clear. "That's not even what I wanted to show you, my love"
The sudden presence of powerful and ominous auras flooded your senses as you stood face to face with some of the ten commandments. Zeldris placed you softly back on the ground, but stayed close as a warning to his teammates.
Your eyes trailed each and every one of them, recognizing some, while other faces you had never seen before. Your gaze halted on one of the ten commandments in particular. His body was covered in tentacles, but his presence screamed familiarity.
"Why did you bring her here?" Realization struck your face as you heard those words come out of his mouth. It was a voice you would recognize anywhere.
You dropped to your knee, with your eyes cast to the ground "My king, I am terribly sorry for I have failed you"
Gloxinia was shocked at your sudden antics, but a heartwarming smile quickly replaced his shocked demeanor. Even after all these years, you were still as loyal as ever "stand up, (Y/N). That not how you great your best friend, now is it?"
"But, my King-" you stopped yourself as your eyes met his unimpressed ones, remembering the hatred he and King shared as you called them that.
"Stop calling me that, I am no longer the Fairy King after all" Gloxinia unwound Basquias from around him, stretching his wings out in the progress, as he walked towards you to help you stand up again. It was only then that he took notice of the lack of yours.
You smiled sadly as you noticed the shift in mood while he looked at where your wings used to be "I guess that makes two of us, as I am no longer fairy as well"
"What happened?" he asked, his gaze shifting from the space behind you to your eyes.
"I see it as a punishment for letting you down since death was not an option" Gloxinia's eyes narrowed at your explanation, not out of anger for you, but out of anger for himself. Anger for not protecting you, but mostly anger that he got too caught up in his own emotions that he didn't even realize he left you, his best friend, behind in the progress.
"What about the current King? Why didn’t he stop it?"
"If it weren't for him, I would've bled out" you defended him as you recollected your memories from that gruesome night. The ground was soaked in the blood of your comrades as bloodcurdling screams filled your ears. It still haunted your dreams to this day.
"As much as I love this sappy reunion, I must ask, my dear brother, why did you bring her here?" Estarossa asked Zeldris as he looked you up and down.
Zeldris took a step forward and wrapped an arm protectively around you, pulling you closely into his side and shielding you away from the prying eyes of his brother "I told you before. It's none of your business"
"How troublesome. You did it to get under Meliodas skin, didn't you?" Gloxinia asked, amusement clearly evident in his voice "you know he's going to come after her. They were friends before you two knew each other after all"
"We don't have to worry about him showing up anytime soon. He looked pretty beaten up when I snatched (Y/N) back" Zeldris said as he let go of you and looked out over the land that stretched before him.
As on cue an immense powerful presence was detected by all of you. It was without a doubt Meliodas, but it felt like his power had been multiplied by ten.
"You were saying?" Estarossa chuckled as he laid back down with his hands behind his head. His body was filled with anticipation for the encounter that was bound to happen.
"Meliodas wouldn't be so reckless to come here just for me" you spoke up, making everyone's eyes fixate back on to you.
"What makes you say that?" Gloxinia asked.
"The current Fairy King doesn't even see me fit to accompany him on his travels. If he doesn't even care, what makes you think Meliodas would?" You explained.
Oh how you had been wrong.
"Yo!"

The Fallen Fairy Pt.2
A/N: I’m glad I’m not the only one who taught this fandom is way too quiet 🥺 Thank you all so much for the support! There will be two more parts after this 💕
Warnings: spoilers
Genre: neutral? (I’m not very good at this oops)

🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤
Meliodas had left shortly after checking in on you, telling you he'd seek out Merlin, so they could conduct a plan.
You frowned as you witnessed Gowther use absolute blackout on Britannia and wondered what could've possibly caused it.
You refrained yourself from going there, knowing that Merlin and Meliodas were in the capital and perfectly capable of handling the situation.
As you predicted, everyone had soon returned to the bar, with only Merlin and Meliodas acknowledging you in your usual spot. Somehow it always went over all the others head that you were usually seated there.
You could hear the commotion from inside the Boarhead. From Gowther that turned out to be a doll to how insensitive Meliodas was towards Elizabeth.
You could hear Slater trying to cheer up the princess, so you decided to join as well.
"If push comes to shove, I'll protect you, princess Elizabeth." You vowed as you slid down the roof and landed in front of her.
"(Y/N)-san!" She gasped at your sudden appearance.
"Meliodas can be a knucklehead sometimes. Please don't seek truth in his words" you told her to which she nodded your head. "Now I suggest holding on because Merlin is about to take us on a trip"
As the words left your mouth, Hawk-mama shot up in the sky and flew in the global direction that you presumed was Camelot.
"Merlin how could you! We left (Y/N) behind! Now she doesn't have anyone after King left without saying goodbye to her either" Diana fumed, which strangely warmed your heart. It had been a while since anyone sincerely cared about you.
"I'm here, Diane" you smiled as you laid your hand softly on her shoulder.
"(Y/N)! Where were you?" She cried as she flung her arms around you, taking you a bit by surprise. When was the last time someone hugged you? You brushed it off, thinking she just was this affectionate towards you because you reminded her of King.
"My usual spot on the roof" you sheepishly let out as you pointed upwards. You chuckled at her visible confused expression "I'll show you once this is over"
You could hear a distant roar, making everyone's gaze snapped towards the direction of the sound "looks like we finally made it to the party"
Meliodas defeated the demon without hardly breaking a sweat, leaving you to rekindle with Arthur and his men.
The small talk was soon over as Galan made its presences known to everyone, whipping a part of Camelot in the process.
"Ooh it's my lucky day, Meliodas and (Y/N) in the same place" Galan taunted as he took notice of you as well. "I could take you back and blackmail Zeldris. Even better! I could just kill you now and rile him up. Maybe he'd finally fight me with that power leaned from the Demon King."
"What..." You heard Diane mumble beside you in confusion as he looked between you and the demon.
Meliodas interrupted Galan's taunts by charging right at him.
In the heat of the fight, you all got messed up pretty bad. Even more so if it hadn't been for Gowther.
Everyone was currently retreating in the castle, getting their wounds treated by the healers that were located there.
You had lost a lot of blood by jumping in front of Meliodas when Galan wanted to strike. It left you with a nasty wound that ran across your stomach and a broken sword.
You had woken up due to the commotion King was making about Diane losing her memories, not even sparing you a second glance.
Hurt flashed across your face for a mere second before you returned to your Stoic posture. You had hoped that somewhere along the lines King had started to view you as a friend, but it was clear that you that were only his sub-ordinate. Only a royal guard that had always vowed to protect the Fairy King. Nothing more, nothing less.
King wasn't Gloxinia, he didn't care if you got hurt as the past Fairy King did. It was expected of you to protect him with your life, so why should he?
Nobody had noticed you waking up, not even when you sat up straight and hissed at the sudden burning sensation at overtook your body. Nobody did, except for Slater "How are you feeling?"
"Like I was laying on death's doorstep" you groaned silently as you pulled up your shirt slightly to inspect the wound.
"Careful not to reopen it. You've lost a lot of blood" he warned at which you snorted "You should've seen me when my wings got torn out. Anyway, how are the others doing?"
He quickly gave you a rundown on everyone's wellbeing to which you gave a small nod. "Seem like we're going after Diane. Let's go, (Y/N)-san"
Slater picked up Gowther before picking you up as well "I'm fine, Slater, I can walk"
"mhm and Gowther has emotions" he replied as he followed the others back to the Boarhead.
"Aah, Tinkerbell! You're awake" Meliodas beamed at you as Slater sat you down to which you quietly thanked him.
"It appears so" you confirmed as you shifted in your seat until you found a comfortable position. "Princess Elizabeth, could I ask you to go to my room and look for a small veil in my drawers that contains a blue like paste? If you could also bring some bandages along with you that would be great"
"You still have that stuff?" King asked as he tore his gaze away from the window to look at you.
"My King, how was your trip to the Fairy King's Forest?" You asked, ignoring his previous question.
"Ah, Uhm, eventful," he said scratching his neck, guilt suddenly flooding his senses as he realized he never told you goodbye or where he was headed.
"Is this the one?" Elizabeth rejoined the group right on time to break the heavy tension that was slowly seeping through.
You pulled your shirt over your head, exposing the nasty looking wound and your bra in the progress. King's cheeks immediately turned crimson as he quickly looked away "Y- (Y/N)! At least warn us when you're about to do something like that!"
You raised your eyebrow at him unimpressed, seeing as he was the only one that had a problem with you doing so. "Sorry, my King, I didn't mean to make you feel uncomfortable."
You grit your teeth as you placed the paste on your wound before wrapping yourself in the bandages Princess Elizabeth got you as well. "I remember that stuff from back in the day, that hurts like hell"
"Still does" you agreed with Meliodas as you got dressed again.
"I can sense Diane up ahead" Merlin stated, catching everyone's attention, but your senses got overwhelmed by the familiar presence of one man.
Unknown to you, he had also sensed your presence from miles away, a smirk playing at his lips. He knew Galan couldn't defeat you that easily.
"Whatever you think you're doing, don't" Estarossa warned him as he noticed how restless Zeldris was growing.
"Keep out of this. I'm going to recollect what's mine"

The Fallen Fairy Pt. 1
A/N: I noticed how inactive the Tumblr side of this fandom is 🤔 If you have any request don't hesitate to ask!
Previous ~ Next
warnings: spoilers
genre: neutral? Bit of Angst?
🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤
"What ya looking at?" Your curious eyes peeked over King's shoulder as you followed his gaze that was directed at Diane and Howzer.
King let out a scream by your sudden appearance behind me, making everyone turn to look at you two curiously, but he waved it off "don't scare me like that, (Y/N)"
"It's been a while since I've been able to scare you, hasn't it" you smiled mischievously, but your words held a lot more meaning than just playfulness. The guilt of that ominous day is something the Fairy King will have to bear to his grave. Your once golden like wings were gone never to be seen again. It was a time never to be spoken of as it was a dreadful day to the both of you.
"Say, my king, you sure you're the sin of sloth? You act more like the sin of envy in my eyes" you mused as you lean your chin in your hands, all while a playful smile was playing on your lips.
Kings scoffed "I told you not to call me that any more. I'm not fit to be a king."
"And I'm not fit to be a fairy any more, but here we are" you replied nonchalantly as you turned in your seat to watch Meliodas and Ban intoxicating themselves with the golden liquid humans couldn't resist.
"What about you? I've seen you staring at Ban a couple of times" He asked as he was the one following your gaze this time.
Unbeknownst to King, it wasn't Ban you had been staring at, but the man opposite of him that held so much resemblance to your past lover. It almost felt like a cruel joke "it's not that deep, besides he's still not over Elaine, so I don't think I have that much of a chance."
"Oi, Tinkerbell" Meliodas called, snapping you out of your haze. Due to your bewildered eyes, a smirk grew on his face as you reminded him of a kid that got caught doing something it shouldn't do.
"What do you want devil's child" you shot back, regaining composure and copying the same smug look he had.
"(Y/N)" King gasped at your response "he's the captain! Don't go around and throw names out like that"
"I'm kidding, I'm kidding. It's all a joke, right Meliodas?" you defended yourself, but the mischievous look in your eyes didn't go unnoticed by the said boy.
"It's alright King. I know she's just joking" he reassured him. "Anyway, I think the customers could use another round"
"Go ask Elizabeth" you waved him off.
"She's at the capitol" he replied. You grith your teeth "what about Gowther?"
"He went with Merlin somewhere" he informed, amused by your growing irritation "you know our deal. When those two aren't around, you're the one serving the customers"
"Fine" you breathed as you head up from your seat and went behind the bar to give everyone their respective drinks.
"Thank you! What about the uniform, though?" He teased to which you rolled your eyes "don't push it"
To your luck, Elizabeth soon enough arrived, letting you escape the tedious deal you made with the captain of the Seven Deadly Sins.
"Diane!! Let's go train!"
You ran outside the boarhead before Meliodas could come up with a way to rope you into working longer.
You did your best to keep up with Diane's long strolls, cursing in your mind how easier it would've been if you still had your wings.
Once you were deep in the forest and excluded enough from any living creature, you took your fighting stance.
"You know you could always ask Merlin to take a look at your wings. Maybe she finds a way to fix them" Diane said as you did your best to dodge her Golems.
"Mhm, I know. I don't want too, though. It's a reminder to myself of how I failed my kind and how I should work every day to become stronger." You explained as you slashed one of the stone creations with your katana, making it crumble to the floor. You quickly dodged as the other was already coming at you with its fist.
Diane frowned at your answer "you know it wasn't your fault, right?"
"They trusted me. I was their number one defence line and I failed them. I was the royal guard. The one that should protect the Fairy King. How can I possibly be fit for that role when I couldn't even protect my friends? It should've been only me that got killed that day, not them." You mumbled the last part. Diane's creations collapsed as you kicked it with all your force against a tree. You took in the giants emotional state and knew continuing to train was not an option. "Let's go back, shall we?"
By the time you got back, the night had fallen over Britannia. The boardhead was filled with intoxicated people passed out all over the place.
You head up to the roof to look out on the capital that had a few lights brimming in the otherwise dark city.
"I see you made Diane upset," Meliodas said as he joined you and handed you a bottle of ale which you gratefully accepted.
"She asked me why I didn't go to Merlin to see if she could get my wings back" you replied as you took a swig of the toxic liquid.
"You shouldn't blame yourself," he said.
"It's the second time I let my people down" you sighed "if death is not the answer, I guess this is the second-best thing"
"How do you feel about the seal?" He asked as he observed your reaction quietly.
You pressed your lips together as you let his questions sink in "I know it's bad news but at the same time... I haven't seen him in 3000 years"
"I know" he sighed, understanding your conflicted feelings "I hope you understand where I'm coming when I say I'm gonna do everything in my power to prevent them from breaking loose"
"Yeah... I know" you hugged your knees while placing your chin on them "when are you gonna tell them"
"When the time is right" he answered truthfully "what about you? King doesn't know how old you really are, does he?"
"He never asked" you shrugged.
"Would you tell him?" "I don't see why I wouldn't"
"Would you also tell King about him?" You stayed silent at that question, unsure whether it would benefit anyone if you were to tell him. "It's getting late, don't stay up too late."
With that Meliodas left, soon to return as you always had a chat in the midst of the night, while everyone is sound asleep around you
The upcoming sun awoke you from your place on the roof of the boarhead. You lazily sat up and admired the rose gold basked city that was slowly waking up as well.
"Hey Ban, planning on sneaking out without telling anyone?" You heard your king's voice, snapping you out of your dreamy haze.
You observed the two for a little until Ban said something that caught you off guard "I'm going back to the Fairy King's Forest"
It was hard to see their faces from up to where you were seated, but you knew King held a shocked face, mimicking yours.
Your eyes trailed them until you could no longer see them, making you swallow hard as you realized the Fairy King didn't even bother to get you "hypocrite"
You hopped off the roof and went back inside the bar, starting to clean up the mess everyone made the night before.
"Are you sick?" Meliodas asked when he walked downstairs to see who was making all that noise.
"King and Ban left to go to the Fairy King's Forest" you said, not sparing him a second glance.
"How come you didn't go? I thought you went everywhere King went" he asked as he helped you grab a couple of empty bottles.
"He clearly didn't want me there, after all, he left without saying anything." You mumbled "Diane's gonna be heartbroken"
"(Y/N)" Meliodas narrowed his eyes at you. For all those decennia he has known you, he knew something had to be terribly wrong for you not be by the Fairy King's side "I'm no longer a fairy, now am I? Fairies have wings, I don't"
"Neither has King" the captain of the seven deadly sins pointed out.
"He can still grow them. Mine are gone forever" you shot back. "Besides I'm very certain the forest wouldn't give me a third chance. It would be gut-wrenching knowing I could never return there"
"So you rather bask in the unknown?" You silently continuing to clean the used glasses was a sign for him to drop the subject "welp, it can't be helped. Guess you'll be the substitute for King"
"I could never replace my king" you shook your head.
"Your loyalty after all these hundreds of years still ceases to amaze me" he chuckled, making you smile a little as well.
You decided to stay back at the boarhead while the others went to the capital for the ceremony. It was a quiet day as you presumed most of the people of Britannia were at the ceremony to praise the Seven Deadly Sins.
You headed up to your usual spot on top of the boarhead and stared off in the distance and wondered when everything had become such a mess.
It crossed your mind that if Gloxinia was still here he'd probably be ashamed of how weak you've become. He'd probably turn his head at how you let the humans cut off your wings. After all, he warned you more times than you could count that humans should not be trusted. Yet here you were handing them alcohol in return for some golden coins. He'd be rolling in his grave if he'd caught wind of what you were doing right now.
A sudden tremor shook you literally out of your thought process and that's when you felt him. There was no mistake. Even after 3000 years, it still felt so familiar to you.
It didn't take long before Meliodas appeared back at the boarhead. "You felt it too, didn't you"
"Yes," you replied as looked at the Captain of the Seven Deadly Sins. His head hung low while an unease aura clouded his whole body "they're here"
