To get a clean folded edge at the top ends be sure to miter your corners. Fold them with your fingers and press with a coin or an acrylic nail like I do. Be sure to utilize entomology pins as they will not leave marks in the ribbon as they are thinner than Kate Moss!!! A lovely friend of mine helped me pull myself out of my sewing funk. She required an underbust ribbon corset and I finally got my ass back into the mood to sew it up quick and lovely just for her!!! I’m using French grosgrain and satin 1.5” wide ribbons found at @eastcoasttrimming in NYC. While I am moving this month I am going to miss being able to source so easily in the Garment District. It’s been a long pandemic and it’s been a bitch to find supplies close to home and find the determination and energy to sew. If you have done anything this pandemic I’m proud of you.
