The Midsummer Celebration has come and gone. This Cycle, I had the pleasure of hosting a party with our partner. We served a feast, played music, made art.

We will spend this Season together, basking in the warmth of our Sun, and letting it melt our Songs together. Singing in perfect harmony with that great ball of fire in the sky.

that’s right, friends, it’s that time of year again - the time for the bell-ringing procession practiced by fraggles and silly creatures alike, the festival of the bells. and, just like last year, i’ll be holding a stream for it! (this one, hopefully, will go over a little easier.)

however, unlike last year, there will be an added piece to the puzzle - the 21st is the night of the full moon! this won’t change much, of course - just a little addition to the schedule.

the stream will be held on friday, december 21st, 2018. here’s a schedule! (all times are in CST (UTC-6:00)).

8:15 - stream begins; cushion time for people to arrive 8:38 - the bells of fraggle rock (s3e1) begins. this is precise for a specific reason! 9:00 - the bell-ringing begins!  9:02ish - capture the moon (s1e16) begins! and, after this, it’s free reign! we’ll mostly just watch eps until people get sick of it.

here’s a quick faq!

what counts as a bell?      anything that rings! real bells, car doors, a few coins in a bag - if it jingles, it counts. why 9:00?      it was agreed on a long time ago! it allows a consistent time for all who want to celebrate to do so. “all fraggles the rock over ring their bells, all together, all at the same time.” how long will this go?      as long as it needs to! i have no plans.

So much inside and around me is changing. The River never stops flowing.

But change is good. Yes, it is good.

🔔 Another Festival of the Bells has passed us by, and again, we find that the World continues to move.

Things happen that make us freeze up. They make us numb to our own hearts, and numb to the cold. But no matter what, we are always there for each other. Each other is all we need.

The spirit in all Creatures, the Song that we all share, comforts us through the longest Night. And it will continue to comfort us as the Days grow longer. ☀️

I was happy to learn that our system, and our friends, have continued our tradition in my absence. Truthfully, we found it on Muppet Central Forum, many, many Days after it had been left unheard. I was happy to unearth the tradition. To this day, it is practiced in multiple homes. I should know; I’m still in the server in which I used to host it.

I miss being so active. But showing up once in a while is more in my nature, isn’t it?
