Today is miserable and I hate snow!! My heat hasn't worked right in days and it didn't turn on at all last night when it was 19 degrees! It magically worked when maintenance came today so I look dumb but as soon as they leave the thermostat starts smelling like burning wires when the heat is on and it's scaring me so I have to call them to come back. I am so cold and miserable 😭😭

I've put in effort and been present for holidays no matter what it took for years. The first time I'm entirely unable to make it and not one person has called/texted or anything, just radio silence I may as well be dead. I will never put in effort again for a family that can't call or even send a text on Christmas. They know I'm spending it sitting at home all alone too. No one except a text from my MIL which I appreciate more than she knows.

It's just so irritating that since I moved a few hours away I've had to make such huge effort to be present but no one has ever offered to visit us. And when I can't be there I'm completely forgotten about. If I don't call or text first I don't hear from anyone about anything. I really may as well be dead to them.
