Upgrade watches as Stolas plucked his feather and signed it with is own black blood; he had heard of such things from Stephen before. When Stolas said it was his turn to sign, he would take one of the pens from the desk, and would move to sign his name on the line; the very name he chose to represent himself here in hell: Upgrade.

"There we go. Signed and ready," he said, putting the pen back in the little jar. "Now what? Is that all there is to it? Or is there something else to add onto this?"

Upgrade listened to Stolas' words, and one could almost see the gears turning in his head. Of course, this meant that his eyes literally lit up a light blue in color. So Stolas couldn't directly teach him...but Upgrade had access to the prince's library, which was filled with magical tomes he could peruse.

"I see. Thank you, Your Highness. I'd like to at least be able to keep my reading hobby up," he said. "I will gladly accept that offer, at least." Oh, the things he could learn would be a major thrill for him. Not only would he be able to use magic personally, it would help him perform his duties for Stolas a lot easier.
