This was honestly so hard to do with all the lines, and, unfortunately, I'm not the greatest at mechanical-type drawings, but I hope you all like it!

30. What was the best birthday present you ever received?

This actually stumped me haha because usually my family is really good at getting gifts that matter.

Um, okay, so this will sound silly and very adult-y, but honestly it meant a while heck of a lot to me.

When I couldn't afford my last year in uni, couldn't get a bank loan, and wasn't able to obtain OSAP (which is basically a Canadian student loan only available for people who make under a certain amount of money), I was struggling, so my parents decided to pay it for for me with the understanding I would pay them back (which is what I'm doing now). I have three jobs in order to pay them rent and to pay off the loans and unfortunately, last year, it was becoming harder to keep up with all the expenses. So, for my birthday last year, they "forgave" a lump sum in order to make my debt smaller. Honestly, I, like, almost cried.

I know that probably sounds not so exciting to some people, but as an adult, anything financially is a help, and it just alleviated soooooo much stress in my life. I mean, I still have a bit to pay back still, but they sure helped with that gift!

In all seriousness, I have thought about doing this. However, I would hate for people to view it as an attack on Laura's art.

That being said, there are a few portraits that don't match my personal mental image of the character, so it could be interesting (maybe only for me haha) to see the difference between what I see in my mind vs Laura's, which is what I was doing with Keefe, in the end. Not going to lie, though, it all started out because I needed to fix his floating hair syndrome.

If people would like me to do this, I can. Only with the disclaimer that I don't mean to offend anyone and that it's purely for me to show my mental version compared to hers. Obviously, hers will still be the offical ones since she was picked by Shannon and is paid for it and I'm just painting and changing them for free and for fun. :)

So, would people like me to do more?

I don't know if this is what you wanted, but...*ahem* I'm not even sure this is what I wanted. It's just what I got...

On a side note, Keefe's hair is hard to draw sometimes. I want to fix it, but I'm just going to leave it for now.

@insanewallaby and I decided to try out an art trade. Both of us were pretty busy, but hopefully you'll like how they came out. We each got a pose and a character to match. Mine was Linh (I love drawing her so much). I'm not done and there are still things I would like to do with it, but here it is!!
