My name is Ryuya-- I am a samurai and sworn protector of the Lady Kanna. Her wish is my command. Uraha, I know you're behind the tree. Come out now, please.

The samurai simply chuckled and shrugged, "Still a child, Lady Kanna. You don't even have a full chest yet," Even if she did have a well-shaped bottom. Ryuya was an honest man, and usually not a pervert-- he kept his hands to himself usually, but making jokes to embarrass Kanna was no an opportunity he could pass up.
The fact that he wasn’t annoyed like he had annoyed her just irritated her more. “I’m not a child! I’m almost a woman and I expect to be treated like one!” She said, tossing her head so her wet hair hit Ryuya. When he looked up at her, she felt her face get warm. He looks really handsome like that… She looked away fast and sat down just a foot or so away. “Jeez!”

"Well that /was/ the idea," Ryuya mumbled with a grin, then when she poured water back on him, he shook his head. "Just like the child you are, Lady Kanna." He was teasing, of course, but he liked to see her get angry. He chuckles softly and looks up at her, his silver hair now sticking to his face.
She let out a sigh, sitting down, undoing the ribbons in her hair. “If I’m soaking wet, then I don’t really need to worry about the heat.” She remarked, half glaring at him. An idea sparked in her head and she stood, holding the bamboo bottle at the side Ryuya couldn’t see. “But you should worry a bit.” She smirked and opened the cap, letting it pour on him.

"Lady Kanna. It's incredibly warm. It'll dry before nightfall. You're not going to catch a cold. It's the heat that you should really be worried about." Ryuya shrugs, then leans against the tree trunk again. "When Uraha returns, you should think about going to the stream for a bath."
She shook her head violently, coughing. “AGAIN?! YOU’D REALLY DO THAT AGAIN?!” She yelled, standing, the top of her kimono drenched. “You dummy, I only have one of these!! Now I’m gonna catch cold!” She thought about disrobing, but with Uraha gone for the day… No, absolutely not! She wouldn’t be caught dead being naked by herself or in front of her guard.

Taking the bamboo bottle, he reaches over, and dumps it over her head. "I'm going to poor some water on you, Lady Kanna.~" Ryuya loved teasing her-- making her angry was funny, and she was always so cute.
“You’re a real bore, you know that?! Sometimes, I’d rather have a baboon as my guard!” She insulted him, crossing her arms over her chest. After a pause, she groaned loudly. “Sir Ryuyaaa, it’s hot!”

" . . . Psh. I don't have any funny stories to tell you, Lady Kanna."
“How should I know?! Tell a funny story or something!” She yells, tossing a wooden water bottle at his head.

"The fish is already cooking. . . " Ryuya crosses his arms over his chest and yawns. "Play with you, you say? What would you like me to do?"

She threw her hands in the air. “It’s hot and I’m bored and I’m hungry and—” She threw herself back on the grass, her hair sticking to her face. “I wanna play. Play with me.”

Ryuya had found more, but stored them away for later, knowing she'd probably want them in the morning. When she tossed one to him, he smiled light and bowed his head. "Thank you, Lady Kanna." Lately he hadn't called her "child" so much. She was learning, and he was rewarding her with a little less teasing. Picking out the nut, he chewed on the contents slowly, savoring the flavor. Then, a moment later, tossed the empty shell into the fire. It burned an odd bluish color.
Kanna had no complaints, she rather liked spending time alone with Ryuya, even if he was the most insubordinate man she had ever met. When there was only one half of a shell left, she realized that he had gotten all of them and hadn’t had any. “…I’m full. You can have this one.” She said, holding it out. She tossed a twig into the fire with her free hand, smiling as it instantly caught fire.

He grinned and nodded, then sliced open three more, passing them over to her as well. Ryuya checked the fish, which wouldn't take long to cook, or so he hoped. "Uraha had better get back soon-- it'll be dark and she knows how dangerous it is for us right now, being hunted and all." He shrugs, crossing his arms over his chest, leaning back against the tree.
Her eyes widened, standing in excitement. “Wow!! How did you do that?!” The little princess exclaimed, her eyes huge in wonder. She picked up both halves of the walnut, inspecting it. “Its cut perfectly in half too!” She said, picking the yummy part from inside to eat it. Sitting in the grass near him, she started to munch on her snack.

The samurai watches, admittedly impressed. She was learning rather quickly-- even if she still couldn't juggle worth a damn. "Very good, Lady Kanna." Ryuya chuckles and sits down, finding a rather flat rock and began skewing fish onto sharpened sticks to cook in the fire, then began working on making them rice. Once those tasks were accomplished, he took a few walnuts out and set them down, he tossed one into the air, drew his sword and sliced it in half-- grinning when he noticed her amusement with his skill. That's right, she hadn't seen him do that the last time. Only Uraha had.
“Here, I’ll make the fire today.” She huffed, pulling her sleeves up. She wanted to mention how she missed rice cakes, but she knew he was right. Living as vagabonds, there wasn’t much to eat that wasn’t from the land. Grabbing the two flint stones from Uraha’s knapsack, she hit them against each other, her eyes widening as sparks flew from them. It took a few minutes before smoke started coming out of the small pile of wood. “Done!”
