ALLAH says in Holy Qur'an "Remember Me and I will remember you. Remember me in yourself. Remember me in the morning and in the evening and do not be heedless. Oh you who believe remember Allah excessively, and glorify him morning and evening. Oh you who believe do not let your children and your money to distract you from the remembrance of Allah."

The ideal way to send blessings upon the Prophet (ﷺ)
“Oh Allah, send prayers upon Muhammad and upon the family of Muhammad, as You sent prayers upon Ibraheem and upon the family of Ibraheem; You are indeed Worthy of Praise, Full of Glory. Oh Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and upon the family of Muhammad as You sent blessings upon Ibraheem and upon the family of Ibraheem; You are indeed Worthy of Praise, Full of Glory.”

10 TIPS ON HOW TO CONCENTRATE DURING SALAT (PRAYERS) 1. Before standing up for Prayer, try to deal with all the minor urgent matters which demand your attention. If you are pressed by hunger, eat first; if you are pressed to attend to the call of nature, relieve yourself; if you are the parent of an infant, feed him or her, or keep him or her busy. 2. Perform your wudu’ (ablution) well, paying …due care and attention. 3. Approach the Prayer with zest and passion as if it is the last prayer in your life before dying. Actually the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) taught us that we could do nothing in this world that could ever surpass Prayer in merit and excellence. 4. Visualize that in your Prayer you are going to have a special audience with Allah, Lord of the worlds, and that you are enjoying a direct communion with Him—which, in fact, is true. 5. Think of the Prayer you are performing as if it were the last Prayer of your life. In fact, it could very well be the last one, since no one is given a guarantee that he would live to perform another Prayer. 6. Picture the scene of the Last Day when people will be lined up into two , one destined for Heaven, and another for Hell, and ask yourself where you would be placed. 7. Focus your mind on what you are reading in your Prayer and recite simple surah that you understand it’s meaning and ponder on the meaning whiles u recite. 8. If, in spite of your best efforts, your mind is still wandering, seek refuge in Allah and bring your mind back to Prayer. 9. Pray to Allah and beg Him to grant you true the joy of concentrating in your Prayer and protection against the wanderings of your mind. 10. Place your eyesight to the one spot where you will be making your sujud while you recite and avoid taking your eyes from that spot. May Allah protect us from the tricks of shaitan during prayers and forgive us our mistakes. Ameen!

This is an amazing story!! 😢
There was a time in my life where I kept making du'aa for something I really wanted. I would cry and cry and put in a lot of effort to ask Allaah for this. When the time came, He didn’t give me what I asked for in the form that I ignorantly wanted. I was disappointed and I did struggle to accept that what He chose was in fact best for me.
Anyway. At around the same time - a friend of mine was also going through hardship. She had met a brother online who lived abroad. They would talk on Facebook and I would see his comments on her page often, so his name became familiar to my eyes… They really liked each other and both seemed to have the deen as their goal & they both wanted to get married. So what happened was this brother talked to his parents about this sister and his parents absolutely rejected the idea of them getting married with extreme firmness… Based on the fact that she was of different nationality.
My friend was going through such a haaaard time, wallaahi. She was always so sad and teary eyed… The brother decided to stop talking to her and blocked her on social media.
She was so heart broken, yet she still made so much du'aa… She even decided to travel to the country that this brother lives in, in the hopes that he will change his mind…
I recall her posting pictures of that country as she went sight seeing… And sure enough, after a few days, she announced she was coming back to Australia with a broken heart. She did not see him or get the chance to contact him - both in person and through social media.
You can imagine how in love someone would be to go through all that effort in order to keep the one they love. Imagine the heart break after all this effort….
So… Fast forward about 6 months. The sister announces that she is going to move on now for the sake of Allaah subhaanahu wa ta'aala. She ended up marrying a good brother from the community, alhamdulillaah. After a few weeks of her marriage - she texted me saying that we must say goodbye to each other because she and her husband have been sponsored to travel abroad for 6 years and learn Arabic and Islaam from the true roots and the best of scholars! 😊 what an amazing blessing! I was so happy for her. We said goodbye to each other and she promised to let me know when she would be back for a visit.
After a few weeks… I again began to reflect and start asking myself why Allaah subhaanahu wa ta'aala didn’t give me what I asked Him for. It was just so hard for me to accept!
I told myself that I would listen to a talk on trust in Allaah - to help calm my heart and force my nafs to be more appreciative and patient… So I click on a talk… And the speaker begins to say that the initial topic was yaqeen… However, it was changed to the topic of death… Because a brother who was on the way to the talk that very morning, passed away. Inna lillaahi wa inna ilayhi raaji'oon.
As the speaker proceeded to talk… He thanked the brothers for the warm welcome and indicated that he was on a tour in the same country that the brother whom my friend wanted to marry was from…
My heart immediately thought of that brother…. Was it him? My heart began to beat extremely fast and when I checked the description of the video…. THE NAME OF THAT BROTHER WAS THERE WITH THE DATE OF HIS DEATH.
It can’t be him, I thought! I remember my whole body was trembling… I went on Facebook and typed in the name of this brother…. And sure enough…. In the comments… People were asking Allaah subhaanahu wa ta'aala to have mercy on him and they were remembering his good qualities. 😢😢😢😢😢
Yaa Alllaaah. Yaa Allaah. I could not sleep for that whole night! May Allaah subhaanahu wa ta'aala have mercy on him!
My friend is now so happily married and she is 4 years into her degree. Her understanding of Islaam is phenomenal… Her Arabic is MIND BLOWING. She has come so far and her direction has shifted from dunya to aakhira. She is running through roads of Paradise through knowledge!!
But lets take a moment out. Lets rewind to that time when the brother left her and she would cry and beg Allaah to return him to her… Had Allaah answered her prayer in the form that she wanted… would she have lived a happy life in the long run? She would have moved to his country… Perhaps fallen pregnant and then widowed shortly after. SubhaanAllaah! Indeed Allaah answered her prayer in such a way that really startles and shakes the core of the soul.
Till this very day, the sister has no knowledge of the brothers death. SubhaanAllaah, subhaanAllaah, subhaanAllaah.
You really never ever ever ever know if what you are asking for is what is best for you in this world and the next! We need to TRUST HIM with alllll our heart. We see the pixel, He sees the picture!
This story still gives me goosebumps every single time I remember it. 😢😢
But perhaps you hate a thing and it is good for you; and perhaps you love a thing and it is bad for you. And Allah Knows, while you know not. (Qur-aan 2:216)
