You know I won’t say goth subtypes aren’t real because of course there is historical precedent for things like tradgoth, Victorian goth, etc. but it’s so bizarre how (not to sound like a cranky old fuck but) kids nowadays treat them like something that you are, like goths can all be sorted into Pokemon types, and also keep making up new ones. 

Like nonono you don’t understand. “Pastel goth” is when I wear my lavender Dark Magician shirt with a goth look. “Corporate goth” is when my bff is attending some sort of professional event and has to dress appropriately but wears some bone earrings or something. “Whimsigoth” is a retroactive term for how my mom and her friends dressed and decorated their houses in the 90s and 2000s. etc. like you don’t have to sit down and choose a Fire Emblem house the minute you decide to be goth that’s not how any of this works. Go watch a Selick movie and calm down

fair warning, this may sound like a fake story or somewhat in the vein of ebony darkness dementia raven way, but bear with: last night i was wandering the park grounds in the dark (no streetlamps, only the waxing moon lighting the path), wearing an all-black outfit — floor length maxi skirt, blouse, trenchcoat — listening to pretty on the inside, when i noticed a group of guys whispering about something a few metres away and casting side glances and nods in my direction.

one of them proceeded to sheepishly approach me and say, with an ironic grin: “sorry. my buddy here thought you were a ghost.”

gender presentation goals ACHIEVED. feeling: more validated than ever before. finally i have reached the status of Local Haunting

Was trying to figure out different ways to hold my shawl up. The O-ring and disassembled earring ring did alright, but it'd fall out after a few hours of dancing. These clasps I got from daiso and attached a chain to work better, but they don't keep the shawl closed.

Also this was not for the club, but it was for a pagan party. My hair was already up for the club night right before, but figured I could wear it as it was to the pagan party
