Stand with them, locked and loaded! As a civilian, my rules of engagement are somewhat more clear... if life is in iminent danger, use of deadly force is justified!

This is just sanding and painting short of being my new water cooler stand.
Bought the wood about 4 years ago to build a printer stand that I never got around to.
Started on this about 6 days ago and marked up all the planned cuts one evening, then went out on the porch (had to clean a space to work) and used my circular saw to cut all the parts to size.
Then, the next day, I got all set up to route the grooves for the shelves to fit into and my router wouldn't work at all. After spending about 3 hours testing and taking the router apart apart, I found that the trigger switch was broken. About 2 hours of internet searching told me the switch (for my, now, 44 year old router 馃槅) is no longer available. Big stressor! Replacement would be between $100 and $300.
Then late the next night, very late, I had a thought about "making" new switch parts by cutting up an expired credit card and supergluing everything together... The next morning I spent about 3 hours making and gluing parts! It works now! Don't know how long it will hold up, but it got me through THIS project! So, everything got routed out, glued and screwed together and VOILA! Thar' she blows! Been working on this (router repairs and building it) since about 9 am it is now 4:30 pm.
