crowley used the metal tool in season 1 to start time, and we learn that he's used it first to start space. to create the stars -- he still remembers how. he still remembers all of heaven's passwords: in the book crowley is described as an optimist because he has the "utter surety... that the universe would look after him". not god, but the universe. and of course he does: he helped create it and he's looking after it, too.

think about it: aziraphale had a sword, but crowley is about to face satan who wants to destroy the world, and crowley's only weapon is a tool of creation

David about the Good Omens Finale (this interview filmed at the end of 2024 as a part of BAFTA promos)

Int: Sadly, we know Good Owns is coming to a close.

David: Yes.

Int: With a 90 minute movie.

David: That's right.

Int: Can you give us a detail what to expect?

David: No. I mean, in a word, no. I think we will finish the story. I mean the series two was very much left on a bit of a cliffhanger. Whether we will finish it in a way that you find acceptable you will have to wait some.

Int: Okay. Yeah. We'll be on the edge of our seat.

David: Yeah.

I love all the acting choices David and Micheal made for their characters but one I'm especially obsessed with (and frankly I don't see it being talked about enough) is the body language/posture.

David took one look at Crowley and decided this boy is Bouncy™. He has cooked spaghetti for bones. Ninety percent of his walking is done by his shoulders actually. He might be man-shaped but he's actually a liquid constantly changing form to fully fill the container (chair) he's in.

Meanwhile Michael went - We'll he's an angel, of course he's prim and proper and carefully put-together. He has the posture and grace of a classically trained dancer. There is also One Million Bees under his skin at any given moment.

And they were so right.
