Sissel waited outside of the prison.They peered to the side seeing the two come out.Finally the day had come where his friend served their time and gets to be free.Meowing the cat trotted over to Yomiel and brushed their body against the leg of his best friend greeting them.

“Yomiels cheating on me with other cats.I am heartbroken.”

[😎] “Exactly, you are a baby. Baby baby boy. Absolutely adorable.”

Yomiel is totally forgetting this same cat foiled all his plans, but hey, it ended up being for the better of everyone, so he doesn’t mind.

   Just cue Sissel relishing in the attention and meowing for yomiel.Maybe give a purr or two to really sell it.

“The only crime I committed is being adorable.”

    They say as they helped break someone out of prison,someone from escaping the police,hacking into phone lines and  redirecting a missile....Totally innocent cat.

Yomiel sobbed against his best friend’s fur, holding the little feline close.

“Thank you Sissel. I’m so glad I ever met you. You’re the best friend I could ever have.”

He sniffed, wiping his tears away as he let go of Sissel, looking around.

“The prison guard will be here soon to check on me. You should go.” He sniffed again. “But… promise you’ll come back soon? I hate being alone and my thoughts aren’t good company. I always feel better when you come.”

Purring and nuzzling the other to comfort they watched them wipe their tears.Connecting one last time to their core to reply.

“Alright alright..I’ll head out....I promise I’ll be back soon okay?Please take care of yourself Yomiel me and the other Sissel are waiting for you.”

   He gave a nod jumping off their lap.Giving a meow of goodbye before he slipped through the bars and walked off to the side.

Yomiel held his feline friend tighter against his chest, the soft vibration of his purring soothing his conflicted thoughts and emotions.

Those were some wise words and he couldn’t help smiling at that, softly caressing Sissel’s fur in return.

“You’ve grown wise. Who knew my cat would become my therapist?”

He chuckled to himself. Talking to Sissel surely helped him more than talking with the prison therapist, whom he couldn’t tell everything to because he simply wouldn’t believe him. And talking to Jowd… As much as Jowd was trying to help him out, Yomiel couldn’t shake the feeling of guilt whenever he talked to the man whose life he so desperately tried to ruin.

He feels himself tearing up at Sissel’s suggestions. Not of sadness this time, more because he was touched by his friend’s advice. It was evident how much his cat loved him and that never ceased to move him.

Before he knows it he’s crying again, clutching the little feline closer to his chest.

“Thank you, Sissel. I don’t know what would be of me without you.” He sniffed, his tears slowly falling into the black feline’s fur as Yomiel clutched him. “It’s not going to be easy, figuring out what to do next with my life, figuring out who I am now… But I’m glad I still have you to help guide me. Really, Sissel… You’re the only light I see in this sea of darkness I’m stuck in… I’m so grateful for everything you’ve done to me, my friend.”

   They purred louder in response to the hug.Luckily they can’t be squeezed to death from how tight the other was hugging them.With a small mental chuckle they swayed their tail nuzzling into the other’s face while they licked the other’s salty tears.

“Hey now I lived a long life.A long...happy life.Those were the best years I had.You reached your hand out to me first pal...I’m thankful for that...so the least I can do is to do the same to you.I won’t let you drown again Yomiel...”

   He purred holding the other close cuddling them.No matter how long it takes,he will stay faithful by his owners best friends side.A guide to lead the other back on track away from the darkness.Maybe one day the other can walk on their own,without the shackles of the past weighing them down.

“I guess…” He said bitterly, still thinking about how hard Cabanela pressed him. How terrified he had been of being declared guilty and never being able to see lady Sissel again and how things went downhill from there, leading to his death—

No. Stop. I’m not dead anymore. I shoudn’t go there again.

Yomiel felt terrified for a moment, as he nearly slipped into his old memories again. He should ground himself to reality.

He held Sissel close to his chest, continuing to softly caress his best friend, feeling the purring under his fingers. It was soothing and relaxing, especially when he held the kitten so close to his now beating heart, even if his friend felt cold. It helped him get his mind away from the thoughts that were creeping back into his mind, like a monster ready to attack.

“I hope so… But, Sissel… I’m scared.” He finally let out, squeezing his friend tight. “W-Who am I supposed to be now? I don’t know if I’m ready to face the world again. For ten years… All I have known was that I was dead and filled with grief and anger… What if I don’t know how to live again? I fear there’s not much left of me…. Of the original me, before the meteorite.”

He felt his throat tightening, as he was on the verge of tears once again.

“I’m scared of losing myself… Of not being able to let it go.”

“Be yourself.Well..no one is forcing you to be the old you whenever its the you in the old timelines or the you before all this....”

    They continued to softly purr nuzzling the other to provide somewhat comfort to the other.

“You’ve been through alot.We both have,and we are different from it..different isn’t bad though.As for who you are suppose to be now..well you have friends to help you as you rediscover yourself.Atleast you have all the time in the world now to experiment and explore.”

   Compared to him who thought he had til dawn to figure himself out before dying forever...thanks past missile.He mentally chuckled not holding a grudge considering the circumstances involving the whole time.But it was quite a rush to run around holding onto any clue he can get not knowing he was getting info on Yomiel rather then himself.But thanks to that he was able to save everyone including his Owner and he wouldn’t take that back for the world.He will always make the same choice if prompted even if he’s forever in this state of life and death.

“When you are free there’s so many possibilities on what to do.You can go back to programing...go explore the world?Help out jowd with detective work.Maybe become a painter ?...Ha ha...Having two sets of memory is confusing sure....and you had alot of grief and anger..but!Don’t let that hold you back.Don’t forget you have a wedding to plan with your fiance,a new life is just out those jail bars.”

Despite the initial look of annoyance, Yomiel managed a smile. He had been feeling depressed again, thinking about Sissel (the human one), before he was alerted by the sound of something falling.

“Always up for mischief, aren’t you, buddy?” He chuckled as he followed Sissel and scratched his back. “You’re bored too, huh? We could take a walk outside or play a bit.”

 He wandered off to the side back arching as Yomiel scratched their back.He let out a small purr moving to rub his body against the other’s leg for more affection.Their tail swayed as they rolled on their back to continue purring.They were always down to receive more attention from them.Even if the other had a cold touch.

He heard the noise from the other side of the room and came to check.

“Sissel, what the fuck are you doing?”

“......”

    Upon walking away from the scene of the crime he paused looking at Yomiel for a moment.His ears flicked as he then looked to the side playing innocent and confused at the other’s question.He merely gave a small meow in response before casually trying to leave the room.

    He just looks around before reaching over and swiftly knocking over the water bottle onto the ground.He silently just stared at it before losing interest and walks away.
