Honestly, if CG artists unionising kills the use of CG in films, I don't see a downside.

I’m a new lockwood and co fan what is the thigh discourse 👀 i must know
Strap in, we've got BOOKS!spoiler!! color coded for you!
It began in The Hollow Boy, the 3rd book, when the Skull mentioned it off handedly but ofc HE DIDN'T. THAT WAS INTENTIONAL we all know it
Tumblr media
And ofc this began to bother Lucy a LOT in the narrative when Holly, another seemingly perfect female agent joins the co. :
Tumblr media
Trickled down into Holly mentioning it later too in the book :
Tumblr media
Lastly, hips and thighs continued to be mentioned, one more time in THE CREEPING SHADOW, the 4th book :
This time by Flo who again blatantly mentions Lucy's hips.
Tumblr media
So you see, Mr. Stroud had unknowingly or knowingly describe Lucy as a large boned girl--with hips don't lie and is also tall, with several other conventional descriptions of the girl. This is canon, i tell you
five feet six inches tall (THB, 4)
I was growing into a tall girl, strong-featured, thicker-set than I’d have liked, with large eyes, heavy eyebrows, an over-long nose and sulky lips. (TSS, 1)
Some fanart would draw her as this smaller petite girl and I tend to make this mistake too but the books beg to differ. Lucy was a growing girl with hips to mention and conventional looks (and that's ok, beauty is in the eye of the beholder and all that jazz.)
Now, this sparked a discourse in the fandom about how Lockwood could possibly often mentioned it as The Skull said, as you can imagine.
The show, i think, did a good job casting Ruby Stokes as you can see. She is neither too thin nor too small or short. She is almost as tall as Cameron!Lockwood. Thank you casting department for going the extra mile~

And also for @ doodlingraka for her almost perfect fanart (thrown in my version too. It's not perfect but I love height difference lol) :
I hope this answers your questions new fellow l&co fan 😁😁💀❤️

Tennessee Republicans are despicable. Expelling black Reps for standing up for their marginalized constituents a week after a school slughter is a political lynching.

My body, my choice.
Freedom for women is a good thing. If that freedom bothers you, think about if you did not have autonomy over your body and had no right to privacy regarding your personal life.
Imagine a man being told he had to change his body to be a father. Imagine if the father died during delivery. Imagine if the father died when the mother died after she was denied health care.

this has been said to death but the world if people could go back to saying “i simply didn’t like it, it was hard to watch, it was painful, it was etc. etc.” without equating it to “oh it was bad because xyz progressive sounding language that misses the point entirely”

you know that expression, “dance like no one is watching you?”
try writing like no one is going to read it
it’s easier to let yourself go and just enjoy the process of creation when you aren’t also playing 6 dimensional chess with your insecurities and anxieties
write because you have fun writing and if you never post it anywhere that’s totally fine because you enjoyed your time with the process
