i love that sivir is like, slightly muscular / definitely toned, isn't afraid to roll around in the dirt and get her hands bloody, but also is the kind of person who appreciates fashion like. i know she was joking with that taunt to renekton but now i can't stop thinking about her just loving anything with reptile skin like. purses, boots, wallets, belts, everything.

for every charming aspect of her world, silk-spun and cast in gold, there is something else made its equal to exhaust her. the universe's way of balancing the scales, sivir tells herself, but she rolls her eyes immediately at the thought, scoffing; as if she'd ever believe in shit like that. but at the same time, in some small way, a part of it makes sense. she didn't always want to live the life that she does, but she has a talent for acting that would have criminally gone to waste if she didn't take to silver screens and make her appearances at film premieres. the trade-off for wealth and glory is to be surrounded by a sea of insincerity and meaningless galas.

sivir has never been one for socializing, much preferring the company of her own solitude, but she finds herself trapped at a fashion show — out of obligation, unfortunately, as a part-time model and recipient of the designer's exclusive collections — beside people who seemed more interest in the mingling and small talk, desperate to fight for a connection to someone, anyone. she glances down at her phone laying face-up in her lap, feeling her stomach growl, and frowns. lifting her head, she scans her surroundings in hopes of finding any excuse to slip out early. although the fashion show provided catering, it would come after the event.

glancing to her right, her eyebrows raising in surprise when she glimpses members of HEARTSTEEL seated around her, with k'sante just beside her. sivir discreetly rubs her nose, quickly opening her mouth as she drops her hand before she can change her mind. " i love fashion as much as the next person, " she abruptly says, staring back towards the starlit runway and the tall, long-legged model strutting down its length with a powerful stride. " but i feel like we could see the new spring collection in a powerpoint and get the same effect. is it just me? " ironic, truly, considering that she has to perform the occasional catwalk like a ricocheting blade, sharp and deadly but no less beautiful to stare at.

i found the kayn tweet. i like the implication that the eastern part of the noxian empire is central asia coded, be it because it's always been like that, or if it was ever ( or still is ) part of ionia and it's something noxus acquired through conquest and expansion; because runeterra takes a lot of heavy inspiration from our world and geography ( as many fantasy elements do, because where else could it come from, you know. as we all know, fantasy geography and politics are very much inspired from real life things ).

but given michael and odin wrote him to be half white and half asian ( i choose to not say hapa here because i want to say hapa is exclusive for hawaiians, similarly as hafu is like for half japanese folk ), geographically it makes sense.

anyways i'm yapping and no one cares but my point is that ethnic representation in league of legends is actually so important to me and i will be very loud about any champion but sivir reminded me of this tweet too because like wdym people are using indian actresses for an egyptian character's face claim. yikes! when i say soo la voo this is not what i mean!

i need to remake my banners since i lost everything, but i'm logging in here to saaaaaaaaay,

shurima is based on ancient egypt, both in its actual history and mythology. nasus, renekton, and azir are all based on egyptian gods: anubis, sobek, and ra.

sivir is a descendant of azir, making her egyptian coded as well. she is even drawn with very obvious arab features in more recent splash arts. like, even cafe cuties sivir.

trying to write sivir as anything other than egyptian is incredibly ignorant and racist, because there's no way you can sit there and say you didn't know when the entirety of shurima and its lore is very on the nose for being inspired by ancient egypt.

her prophesied name is literally based on arabic. like i don't know how you see sivunas alahair and don't think that's riot's version of fantasy arabic, same as they've done with japanese in ionia, or hindi as well.

arabs and south asians are not interchangeable. sivir is from shurima. she is literally the BLOOD DESCENDANT of a character inspired by the egyptian sun god, ra. characters like karma are from ionia. ionia, as we know, is inspired from east asia, south asia, and southeast asia. a rioter i spoke to years ago basically alluded to noxus including inspiration from central asia ( where kayn is from ). shurima would be north african inspired, mostly; maybe arguably west asian as well. either way, these ethnicities are not interchangeable.

the hum murmuring in her throat is a sweetly awed tune of quiet admiration, and she hardly affords kayn a glance, keeping her gaze fixated instead upon the great scythe in his grip. learning the threads of her fate and the spells of ancient ichor flowing in her veins hasn't quelled sivir's thirst for coin, nor her affinity for treading dangerous keeps and plucking countless treasures free from a myriad death traps. she'd be a liar if she denied that her first instinct would be to sell the scythe to the highest bidder.

maybe he senses it. maybe he sees the hunger in her eyes that is not unlike that of a starving beast set loose to frenzy, but sivir is no starving beast. she is a woman chasing glory in gold, and with glory comes blood, and she is decidedly more dangerous.

her tongue clicks against the roof of her mouth, and she tosses kayn a scornful look before her eyes brighten just a touch. " plenty, " sivir answers as the sliver of a grin begins to creep over her lips. " probably a legion of men. can't be sure, never got to try. armies are scarce these days, with so few lands needing conquering. " her sharp eyes fall upon the blade again, peering at her reflection in the glint of metal. " i've been told it's of targonian origin. i don't really understand it, but it always finds its way back. god-magic, most likely. " sivir dips her head towards kayn expectantly. " what's your scythe's story? "

Despite himself, Kayn is impressed by the chalicar. He didn’t master every weapon in the Order of Shadows’ arsenal just to turn his nose up at one he doesn’t recognize. He knows what strength looks like when it stands before him brandishing a thrown blade of the like he’s never seen before, so he’s not surprised when she moves it with such ease, but he is intrigued.

His eyebrows lift, impressed, and then furrow as he tries to figure out how it works and what the best way to use it in battle would be (pausing only a moment to fantasize about how many Noxians he could cut to ribbons with a single toss of it), before Kayn seems to realise that she’s talking to him. More than that — SHE’S MOCKING US, KAYN! SHE CALLED ME LITTLE! TELL HER HOW BIG I AM! His gaze is intense as it fixates on Sivir again, but it’s not necessarily unfriendly.

"Then you understand the importance of keeping it out of the wrong hands,” he murmurs, like a warning, then seems to move on. “"How many enemies can that cut through before it stops? How do you get it to return at the end of a throw?”

i feel like i did write a tldr of my odyssey verse years ago, but here's another one now in the event it's different from before, because. it's been a long time.

but.

tldr, sivir is a princess and she doesn't know, since she's been orphaned since she was young, and azir is a long long long distant ancestor who's ascended to godhood, same as canon. but, in space, she's a bounty hunter. my verse follows a similar premise to that of her canon odyssey verse, aside from that 'soft and sympathetic side' that they've written onto her. sivir is snarky, cold, jaded, cynical, definitely morally gray, but she's not a bad or evil person. however, she'll work for whoever can pay the highest offer, because her services are expensive.

i feel like someone within the universe, perhaps someone like karma or whoever, might know something about azir, because i think azir might have something to do with the templars blah blah blah, and reveal history + the truth to sivir and try and convince her to aid the templars.

sivir doesn't want to see to the end of the universe or anything or intergalactic war, but she won't be mad if she gets rich off the bounties of literally any and everyone, be it soldiers or hunters or even templars. try and guilt sivir all you want, she's following her own agenda.
