okay so while i am working on commissions i wanted to share a pet au project i have long thought about

its a sherlock holmes au

set in 1992

in the united states (blasphemous, i know)

in newark, new jersey

sherlock aquillo holmes is a late-20s failed ballerina, drug addict, and (brilliant) PI who lives in a shitty apartment with a lot of keith haring posters

his hot new roommate dr. john watson is a super-liberal gulf war vet and aspiring novelist who works at the local planned parenthood in a strip mall

holmes has an aquamarine house phone that he answers case calls on with a 20ft cord (perfect for pacing as he talks to all-around skeptical woman and local chief of police Lestrade)

sometimes they take a cab to NYC for the Big Cases

and eat lots of shitty food

holmes plays violin...and drums...and bass...and the theramin...and sometimes the kazoo when he wants to annoy watson

Mycroft is a wall street trader who made it Gordon-Gecko big in the eighties

together holmes and watson solve crimes and fall in love

the chilito burrito debuted from taco bell in 1992 <3

you guys ever have that feeling where you want to make friends on here but you’re an anxious coward so the only tumblrs you interact with are your friends from the first week you ever had a blog and your wife

looks like everyone’s favorite cinnamon bun bastard has been making The Effort <3

I loved working on this the story thus far is EXCELLENT and it flowed so well for a comic!!!! Thank you for the commission <3

one more thing I wanted to mention…(I tried and failed at donations and commissions before but I think I can handle this now)

I’m opening up commissions through May 25th and trying this structure

$3 for a one-page full color art

$10 for a five page comic (full color)

$20 for a ten page comic (full color)

it can be anything you want and I will send you the final files for you to post or keep or whatever you choose (though I’ll prob reblog it from you if you do post it)
