Vie et Mort

Everyone of us are aware of death and how it is inevitable to our life. In this life, someone once said that living is spending at least 50-70 years of pain, pain from losing people, and pain of people losing us when the time comes. Although some people believe that life is full of sorrows and merely insignificant, for me, it's still a matter of choice. Whether to live or not live. 

People in young ages tend to think differently from those who have lived their life in its prime, those who don't have any unfinished nor unfulfilled business and are just waiting for their time. Old people think they suffered and is contented enough to live longer. Those people in general, they are ready for facing death,  but what are they not ready for is for them to leave their love ones, spouse, children, children, and anyone important. 

Life. Death. These are reality. For those who are indenial, we don't have to incorporate life to death. But in reality, these always come together, we can't think of death without thinking of life and vice versa. As I said, life is a matter of choice. In this world, not everyday is a good day, but there are a lot of reasons to feel good about. May it be an exam we passed or an adorable dog passing by. How we begun and how we about to end is not important. What important is how we live and continue to live in our own will.

Camaraderie

Late middle ages is the era on when the process of evolution toward modern states begun and continued throughout the modern times. As the society evolves, different opinions and contrasting beliefs have been formed too. And since there are many different societies today, each society then has their own understanding about every single thing.

Today's modern society is very diverse. During the medieval times, people were being controlled by churches, they are not given the right to have their own beliefs about something. To live in today's modern society, one must know how to cope up with the changes and be able to blend with different aspects of people's cultures.

In today's society, we are being exposed to things such as social media and television that may affect our attitude and conduct. People interact with one another on a daily basis. We influence and are influenced by the person we interact with. Although societies may differ from one another in many ways, but they all have something in common and that is that all took the same direction and went through similar stages of evolution.

Every person in this world has their own perspectives. The way we see things are different from one another. We might meet people who share the same experience or problem like us, but the way they solve it differs from the way we do. Because of this, other's perspectives might conflict with ours and this might lead us to question what we think is true. 

 My perspective, my reality. This is what most of us believe in. It's very hard for us to view things from another person's viewpoint. There are people who avoid interacting with people who believes in things they don't believe in. We fail to see someone's essence as a person because of this. What's very meaningful for you may look absurd to someone. And what's beautiful for you may look ugly to someone. 

 How can we treat a person as a person? One answer to this question for me is that for us to see the essence of someone as a person, we must put aside our judgments and assumptions about them. Just because you hate the way someone see things doesn't mean you're going to hate the person too. There should be no fancy intervene between a person and another person. We should always take other's perspectives into account, look at the problem from one's point of view. By doing so, we can truly understand the way they see the world.

Free Will

In everything that we do, we make decisions. From the moment we wake up from our bed to the moment that we sleep at night, thousands of decisions have been made. We always have a choice. Choice to feel good and see good. Choice to be thankful. Choice to move on. Choice to be courageous. Choice to forgive and let go of the past. We could do all the things that we like. We basically have complete control of our lives and ability to make our own decisions. 

Sometimes, I tend to think that what if there's much less freedom of choice in our life. What if we are not given the freedom to forget, freedom to accept, freedom to refuse; to be thankful; to forgive; to give up when we are tired? Like we are not given the freedom to choose between "this or that" thing again. From that I realized that perhaps, perhaps, the reason why God has given us the ability to choose is because He wants us to be responsible for all of the decisions we make. God has given us everything we need. God has given us freedom of will. Now it is up to us what we do with it.

There's no such thing as right or wrong choice, but one must always remember that whenever we make a choice we must also accept its outcome, regardless of whether it is positive or negative. We always have a choice. Choice to listen to our emotions or to hold back from doing something. Choice to walk away from things that hinder us to grow. Choice to love someone or hurt someone. Choice to be alone or get surrounded by fake people. We always have a choice, don’t imagine you don’t.

You are asked to choose between vanilla and cinnamon. If you ever choose the latter, then you have to reevaluate your life decisions Marty.

Nurture Nature

The Earth is the only human known so far to harbor life. Environment plays a significant role in making our existence on Earth possible. Everything that helps us to live a life comes from it. We are very dependent on it as we cannot live without air, water, land, and other natural things. For a long time, we spent too much time using natural resources mindlessly. We are too focused on benefiting on it that we doesn't care enough to do anything about it when it is in desperate need of our protection. Actions like these has become one of the biggest threats for Earth. 

 When we repress to take care for nature, then that is when the destruction occurs. Animals disappearing because of unconcerned people. Atmosphere is damaged because of pollution. There are lots of things that defeats the purpose of living on the Earth. I always think about how people cannot see the beauty of our nature. How can they be so oblivious and destroy our surroundings. How can people not care about the environment and nature. We are all aware that it is in need of our protection yet we never take a little step to save it and maintain its originality. Imagine a world in which people contribute everyday to protect our environment. Imagine going to sleep knowing animals are not endangered, there are gardens that grows enough food, and waking up seeing lots of trees and a blue sky. We must begin to better our environment and make our surroundings good again like what it is intended. 

 Everyone should do their part. We should care about our nature and contribute to better it even if it is big or small. Some people always think that it is infeasible to bring changes with little contribution, but even the smallest action is powerful. It is possible to make the world a better place if all of us knows how to take care of it.
