Extremely cool new dinosaur: Pulaosaurus qinglong

This absolutely gorgeous fossil ornithischian from the mid-to-late Jurassic of China was just described a couple days ago! And beyond just being a beautiful looking specimen, this fossil includes fossilised elements of the larynx!!!

Specifically it had arytenoids, which are parts of the larynx made of cartilage in us mammals but in birds and now apparently ornithischian dinosaurs they were ossified (turned to bone). The authors described them as looking similar to modern birds', suggesting that Pulaosaurus might have been able to make bird-like vocalisations!

It's particularly exciting because it's a second point of data after laryngeal structures were found in the ankylosaur Pinacosaurus a couple years ago. So it's not just ankylosaurs doing some weird unique thing, but a structure that might have been shared by at least all ornithischians!

As far as I'm aware nobody has attempted to figure out what the actual noises could have been, and I'm guessing it's not possible with the amount of material we have. But it does massively expand the range of sounds that we know could have been possible for them, which is exciting enough!!

Mega Hawlucha details!

It's 55.1 lbs, and it's height is 3'3"

Energy from Mega Evolution has pumped up the muscles in Hawlucha’s body, enhancing not only its Attack but also its Defense.

It uses its muscles, bulked up by Mega Evolution, to take hit after hit from opponents’ moves and flex its own strength. After luring its opponent into attacking, it retaliates to make them flinch before diving at them using its signature move, Flying Press, to aim for victory.

Before Mega Evolving, Hawlucha would sometimes let its guard down as it became caught up in parading its flashy moves, but with newfound confidence in its own defensive capabilities, it can now show off again and again to both its opponent and its Trainer. It lifts both hands and spreads its wings, constantly putting its beauty and tough pectoral muscles on full display.

Whoa, this film opens up with the main character saying she rejects the idea that you need to fall in love/get married to have happiness and she isn’t interested in finding a partner, surely THIS time she won’t fall in love by the end of the movie

My favorite thing about Rouxls is that in chapter three he tried so hard to be Tenna's second in command that he got into a poly relationship but Tenna never acknowledges him even once except for in chapter four to insult his stupid blue booty and he didn't even know it was Rouxls

GUYS NEW SHARK JUST DROPPED

Well, technically it's not new : it's a nurse shark. What's new, however, is that it's the first xanthic (imagine albinism but in yellow) nurse shark ever found !! Not only it's not common AT ALL to find fishes with xanthism (it's the first cartilagenous fish ever recorded with this type of genetic "anomally"), but if it's there and still existing as an adult, it means the species is chill-ish with other predators (it probably would have been eaten by then). Its eyes are white so it can also be a form of albinism, in addition to xanthism !!!!!

And most of all : ITS SO CUTE !! AND IT'S SUCH A COOL FIND !!

Please if a marine biologist or someone with more info can interact with this post to feed me some more info or correct me on wrong infos i'e given I'd love it !

(Also if you have pics of animals with xanthism, it's also very appreciated!!)
