IM SORRY THIS TOOK SO LONG! I kept adding to it...

but yeah, Leo is still on the non-verbal side, but he is more social by the time the Mad Dogz think it's safe to re-introduce him to others outside the "treasure" group. Usagi being the obvious first. Leo may not remember the noise Usagi sometimes slips up making, but it makes him feel happy none-the-less!

Fun fact: Happy rabbit noises consist of oinking, honking and their own version of purring. Not very loud, but super cute. (I know next to nothing about reptiles so I'm going off of @cupcakeslushie's chuurps here)

In this AU I kinda see Leo and Yuichi Usagi bonding between the series end and movie. So established besties at the very least.

(If you meant Miyamoto Usagi, then my bad, I have NO idea how he'd react to Leon at all X'D)

Linked Universe Handwriting/Script Analysis

Hi. Had to know for my own fanfic. Decided to share my findings. Sorry if it's been done before, I just couldn't find it. All script information is taken from the Zelda wiki. Let's dive right in.

This is what we're given. Good to know: Time, Sky and Twilight all have their own scripts. Four and Wind both use the script from the "Era without a Hero." The remaining four also all use the same script.

At the very top is Time's script and thus also his handwriting. (This also makes sense as he's the first to arrive at the inn, with Twilight.)

Up next, Hyrule and Four arrived at the inn.

Hyrule wrote his name first.

Then Four.

Then Warriors and Wind arrived at the inn. (Wind is talking to Four upstairs, and Warriors is downstairs when the innkeeper asks him how many of his friends are staying, right before Legend and Sky enter.)

First Warriors. (Of course his handwriting is the fanciest.)

Then Wind.

After the innkeeper talks to Warriors, we see Legend and Sky enter.

Legend writes his name first.

Then Sky.

Finally, after calming down, Wild arrives at the inn, too.

And after Twilight recovers, he also writes down his name.

So, all together, we get this:

A second chance

The monsters that roamed Hyrule didn’t know what to make of the newest dragon in their skies. Unlike the others, his flight pattern was odd, unpredictable, the dragon even touched and walked on the surface of the land. One day, a group of Lizalfos were guarding their territory, when I shadow grew above them.

The Lizalfos saw it. The Life Dragon, the one that had ended their leader. But the Life Dragon didn’t show hostility towards them. Instead, he dipped his nose down to the monsters, a thrumming noise emanating from the dragons throat. A Lizalfos looked up towards the deity, and a warm teal light pulsed down from the dragons horn, filling the Lizalfos with its light. When the monsters opened their eyes, they were never the same.

This concept has been in the making for a long time!! As the Dragon of Life, Link always hated the fact that some of the life forms that roamed Hyrule were made in pure malice. He had seen them whilst he was still human, and saw how alive they were when not attacking others purely for their king. So Link decided to use his newfound magic to replace the malice inside the monsters of Hyrule with the wild magic that he housed. Turning them into true creatures, no longer puppets to the demon king. It took a while for the citizens of Hyrule and the monsters to get used to this, but they eventually found an equilibrium. The monsters were granted their own territories, and they even traded with the Hylians on occasion, even the Lynel’s rarely sold bows for material and unique foods. Could Hyrule find peace with its new race? Only time would tell, but Queen Zelda would be dammed if she didn’t try to make piece with her newest citizens

I like to think that Queen Fairy’s, Fairies, and Sky’s Zelda has no reflection in their eyes. Instead of seeing yourself it would be something of the earth and whimsy. And so does Hyrule. That would mean he would never directly make eye contact and the chain would pay no mind; save for two. Legend and Sky.

Ganon: (shouts suddenly) What is the matter with your eyes? Why can I not see myself in your eyes?

Hyrule: *Does not say anything and turns away*
