Isolde's Evening Gown Update

I hand stitched the bias binding to the tabs which took forever and hurt but it's much neater than if I'd done it with the sewing machine. I then put in all 30 eyelets (7 have fallen out so far) which took a whole day by itself. After that I realised that it would be very very difficult to put this on by myself, it's strapless and sits very high on the back, and the spiral lacing is very hard to adjust when you're looking at it, let alone when it's behind you and you're looking in a mirror. I made a modesty panel, because I think that will look better than bare skin, under the lacing. Next job is placing the iridescent floaty fabric and praying it won't be awful to work with.

I think i'm going to alter the sleeves on my Isolde dress so they're more fitted to the forearm and wrist. I also moved all the furniture in my room around and that means I have space to move. The way this dress moves with a dramatic sweeping exit is unreal. I am obsessed.

Fashion of the Planes: Caer Leona

Seniority in Caer Leona is displayed in the size of the headdress, all clothing is gender neutral

Amalthea: she wears the same clothes as the sisters albeit with longer hanging sleeves, her scapular is embroidered with the symbol of the Mother, her heavy cloak has slits cut for arms, she wears a wimple and veil with a hat.

Sister of Caer Leona: she wear a loose dress over a close fitting kirtle both in white or cream, the scapular is dyed yellow. Sisters are not required to wear a head covering, but many choose to for practicality, this sister is wearing a wimple and veil. She wears a flame pendant, a symbol of The Mother. Novices typically wear a narrower scapular, and are only permitted to wear simple headwear.

Patients: the first patient wears a coif, a loose undyed dress covered by an apron. The second patient wears an undyed loose shirt and trousers fastened with drawstrings.
