lukas looms closer, curls in on himself so he might be closer to @abusedog in height. the interest he shows is mild, only vague when little brother roy is concerned. he is tired of trying to play with broken toys, as fun as watching the boys scramble to kill the deal has been, he knows he's winning. it seems everyone knows except them.

burn in hell.

rabid is the dog that bites the hand that feeds it. lukas hardly twitches, the fire in roman is something he's seen before, almost that of a lover scorned. he'd seen that same rage in ebba a day after sending her the third brick. heard it in her voice when she called him a fucking lunatic. every name under the sun. it doesn't burn him coming from her, and certainly not from roman. more often than not he had liked it when ebba bit him, he doesn't doubt the same will go for rome. “ you'll go with me. ” like a dog at his heels. lukas straightens then, steps closer, invading roman's space.

what does GoJo do ? he'd told some girl in an interview once, when asked almost this same qustion : google is free. that if she wanted the broad definition she could look it up online. that's what the web is good for, if she didn't have an interesting question, he didn't have a reason to be there.

a grin splits his lips, amusement playing over boredom. he finds this question a bit . . . silly. the idea she doesn't know what they do, when they've recently bought a multi billion dollar media conglomerate. when he's practically got one hand down her husband's pants for the position under the promise of an american CEO. it plucks at interest in a way that makes him want to roll his eyes. “ — what do we . . . ”

“ — do ? ” head cants to the left, eyebrows knitting together as if he doesn't quite know what she means. “ a bit of everything. i don't like putting a label on it, what we are, what we do . . . ” he bobs his head slightly, humming as if musing on the question, not as if it is something complex, but rather like it's a gift he's picking the wrapping paper off of.

“ everything in the kitchen sink. that's a saying, yeah ? go with that. ”

For some reason, and without consulting her, her husband had decided to switch gears at the last moment and team up with someone who was practically a stranger to them. One who was unpredictable. That didn't work for her. Before agreeing to anything, she preferred to meet whoever was joining their team in someway or another and Lukas Matsson was no different. She looks around the GoJo offices, not entirely sure what they do but understands that it is meant to help her family so for that, she's supportive. "Mr Matsson," she says when she finally sees @skickatblod . "Thanks for making the time to meet. I was hoping to see what GoJo does."

i know this was a joke but ALSO

lukas' relationship with emotions is complicated. he thinks he's in love with ebba, and his feelings after the breakup often flicker between infatuation and hatred. he's given her power over him, and she's used it to her advantage and that fascinates him, it entertains him, but she doesn't really use it. he can push, and push and now she's stopped pushing back. they've become the unstoppable force and the immovable object, she's threatening but not doing, they're at a stalemate, and it infuriates him and interests him in equal measure.

lukas has a tendency to push, he likes to test the limits, to see how far others will let him go. other people are puzzles, and he wants to see how they fit together, how to pull them apart. ebba is one of the only people who pushes back, and he enjoys that, certainly enjoyed that when they were together. lukas is obsessive by nature. he is very much the type of person to want thing he shouldn't / can't have. he liked ebba when they were together, however when she broke up with him ? it amplified that feeling, she was a challenge again.

they were off and on for awhile. ( he sent two-three of the bricks during this time. ) the first was the one that made him the most anxious, he sent it and regretted it up until they slept together again, because he did something bad, something he shouldn't, something that could have ruined him, and got away with it without a single consequence. hell he could even convince himself ebba liked it, liked the attention. so he did. and every time they separated he sent her another one. because it was funny, because it was an inside joke, it was something gross and taboo and he was pushing and she was letting him.

the blood itself did start as a joke, as a reminder of what they were in his own odd way. but it became something else, it became an "i miss you" a way for him to give a physical part of himself to her. it was intimate in a way no one else could understand, and she kept it. which is one of the reasons he blames her for his inability to fire her. not because he sent the blood ( though he blames her for that too. ) but because she kept it. she kept that part of him he gave her, she is stuck with him the same way he is stuck with her. their dynamic while not balanced in power, is as close as he can imagine getting, or was until he met shiv but that is a whole other can of worms.

meetings with the roys is always interesting, he finds he has favorites. @abusedog just happens to be one of them. the brothers, their rage interests him, fuel on fire, the idea roman blames him for father's death. the tune he's playing is entertaining, the dance they've made of it, as if roman himself had not welcomed fox into the hen house at kendall's birthday party. as if it isn't all his fault.

the only other person who treats him like this, gets away with it because she has seven liters of his blood in her freezer, and he's already fucked her, is still trying to whenever he's particularly bored. " don't take this the wrong way, but . . . "

lukas moves closer, lingers just outside of roman's personal space, shoulders curled, he coils himself downward, leans in, voice lowered as if it's a secret he's about to share with the younger roy brother.
