Thinking about safehands in Vorinism, and how some women are uncomfortable with a glove while others are fine with it. So basically, a sweater-paw that obscures even the shape of the hand is the Vorin equivalent of a loose sweater, hiding the figure completely. A glove is the equivalent of a tight-fitting top; you can see all the shapes but not the body part itself. In our culture, the thing that is most scandalous to see is the nipple, though it looks absolutely the same as a male nipple. So bringing this to its logical conclusion, the scandalous part of a female safehand, which nobody is ever allowed to see even though it looks absolutely the same on the other hand, Is fingernails. That’s it, folks, fingernails are nipples.

Fainting is super weird because it feels like your mind just glitches forward or something. There's this nausea building, head ringing, blood rushing in your ears, if you're trying to talk through it you can feel your words drifting apart and your thoughts getting harder to grasp- and then it all suddenly stops and you're fine and you feel mostly normal again. Except everyone is looking at you like you have three heads. Because apparently you were just unconscious for 10-20 seconds. My brain refuses to believe it, like sure, I was just struggling to find words, but I found them now! It's fine! The fog is clearing up! Let's continue!

If you had been standing up, it's even more bizarre. It's like a jump-cut to the ground. I can not express to you the extent to which it feels like the instant before losing consciousness and the instant I regain it were consecutive. It's incredibly odd to be standing up feeling sick and then teleporting to the floor, feeling largely fine but your face hurts.

Anyway, I tried to brave my fear of needles and get a tattoo yesterday, I bet you'll never guess what happened.

I love it when characters have some kind of weird bond between them. Psychics bonds, telepathic links, empathy links, soul bonds, and whatever else. What if you were always aware of the people you loved? What if you could feel their presence in a way beyond the five senses? What if they could never fully hide themselves from you? What if you could never fully hide yourself from them?

no matter what you do, don't think about lift. don't think about lift being so grief-stricken that she goes as a little child to the nightwatcher, wishing to always stay the same. don't think about lift growing up regardless, and realising– wait, i'm growing up. don't think about lift being so uncomfortable in her own body, and slowly realising other girls don't feel the same way. don't think about lift realising she likes the idea of being a boy far more than being a girl. don't think about lift and the conflict that happens in her then, because now she has a choice – the choice of being herself (–himself?), or the choice of staying the same. because if she chooses to embrace her identity, then she looses everything she's ever wished for since she was young. don't think about lift who, if he wishes to be himself, can never be his mother's little girl ever again.

Just started reading The Stormlight Archive, The Way of Kings. Already in love of course and couldn’t help but sketch an Axehound concept. I wanted to keep elements of the official design but really wanted to push the axe part of the beast with the head. I also wanted to expand on more of their details, like the teeth, mandibles and such.✨

Im wondering if I should change the tail to match the shape of an axe too??🤔
