as of 22nd April 2021 we have about 16.3M new cases and a death toll of 187K . Only about 1.4% of the population has been fully vaccinated yet.

on top of that, we've been facing a major shortage in oxygen supply (to the point where the govt has decided to airlift oxygen from other nations), a shortage in hospital beds and services. The numbers keep rising and with the spread of the new strain, the scenario has transformed into something deadlier than ever.

our infrastructures are falling apart and we need all the help possible at this very moment so the nation can be atleast saved when there's still a chance. I've already lost two of my friends, a teacher and family to the second wave and I can only imagine how much worse it can get. so i would like to take this opportunity to link in some donation posts below–

A white man shot and killed 8 people yesterday in Atlanta, 6 of which were Asian American women and today the goddamn fucking police captain is doing a presser and refusing to call it a hate crime. He is LITERALLY I KID YOU NOT defending the shooter saying he was having a bad day due to his sex addiction.

loving mark is long talks at night about any and everything. it’s him holding your hand and rubbing slow circles across your knuckles and you giggling at the feeling. you can tell him everything and he’d listen with understanding ears. loving mark is laughing so hard that you’re doubled over and tumbling to the floor together. it’s his habit of smacking his hands over your arm when he laughs but stopping immediately, concerned, at your playful ‘ow’. it’s how his eyes go wide as moons as he asks if you’re okay. loving mark is innocence and full of firsts, he hasn’t loved before so he’s excited but nervous to light his first flame with you. loving mark is long car rides and singing at the top of your lungs down the interstate. it’s burning cookies and kissing on the kitchen countertop after. it’s him writing songs about you and singing them so softly to you by the fireplace with his favorite acoustic guitar. it’s him worrying about forgetting important dates so he saves your anniversaries and birthdays in his calendar so he can text you right as the clock strikes midnight - he always has to be the first one. loving mark is waiting patiently for him to come home from long practice hours and savoring the time you have together. he’s worried it bothers you, but you assure him that your love is more than enough to last a lifetime. loving mark is getting little gifts like spare roses or a new hair tie that made him think of you when he passed them in the street, so he had to get it. loving mark is slow and steady, he’s here for the long run. it’s warmth and patience and trust and you wouldn’t trade it for anything. loving mark is everything you could ever ask for and then some.

hi, everyone.

i’m posting this in order to spread awareness as well as to let you all know that i’ll probably be inactive on here for a while.

i know this is not the normal content, but i’m honestly having a hard time writing or posting anything about my writing amidst what’s been going on in my country; the myanmar military has unlawfully taken over power in a coup (falsely claiming that there was an electoral fraud in recent elections), and our leaders and civilian government officials are detained. yesterday, we woke up, completely disconnected from the world and our families from other cities/countries as they cut off all communication lines. although we did get them back on the same day, everything is uncertain at this point. right now, i am so concerned for not only my future but also for that of my country, and trying to stay calm and deal with the despair (and frustration and rage). i’ll be taking a break from social media for a while for the sake of my mental health although i’ll come online every now and then to check up on my friends, keep in contact, and to stay informed about things.
