the way the children are writteb is so. oh my god. going off on a bit of a tangent here. one small pet peeve of mine is that often times children are written either too dumb, too angelic like, or just. off???? like i dont immediately buy that theyre kids. BUT THIS FIC. MY GOD. just the right amount of cheek and silly and childishness and innocence and brat. ESPECIALLY FOR GENIUS KIDS. THATS SO HARD TO DO. just.

hngahauiahahaiaja. tweaking out over the kid povs. theyre so precious. they notice part of whats going on, or at least enough to glean that Something More is going on. but the adults dont want them to worry about adult things so they redirect their attention OR the kids make more innocent conclusions except YOU AS THE READER CAN READ BETWEEN THE LINES AND SEE THE FORESHADOWING AND YOURE FILLED WITH THIS DREAD OVER WHATS TO COME

Idk if I forgot to bookmark it or if the author deleted it but basically, viktor travelled to an alternate universe where he works in a university with Jayce, but Jayce doesnt know and thinks he’s just his weird progressive czech coworker. vikto eventually convinces him that yes, he is from a different timeline and Jayce believes hin because of the blanket viktor has, aka the one his mother made. the last time i read it, they had just figured out a way to make hex tech work without magic? someone please help 🙏🏽🙏🏽
