Second of all, Thomas Wayne called him everything from “Bunny, honey, sweetheart, baby, bambino, sweetie” to “Gumdrop, honeybee, amore, babe, “ and you can die trying to take it away from me

Superman: So this is Earth-6067.

Batman: There are no signs of sentient creatures living on this planet, or anywhere else in this universe.

Superman: [looks sad] Oh.

Batman: But take a look at this. [shows him a microscope] I’ve discovered a pair of protozoa.

Superman: Oh thank god! We found this universe’s Bruce and Clark.

Batman: …They’re microorganisms, Clark.

Superman: Well I just know that we’ll always be together in every universe, no matter the shape or form.

Batman: [looking through the microscope and seeing one of the protozoa inch closer towards the light while the other stays away] Hn. I’ll bring them to the lab for further study.

Clark: [gloomily] Yeah...

Bruce: [stares out the window]

Arthur: You will meet someone better suited for you one day—your destined soulmate.

Clark: I hope so.

Bruce:

Hal: I mean, who wouldn't go for you? You're strong, smart and handsome!

Clark: Thanks Hal.

Barry: Yeah! I’m sure you'll meet someone who's just as kind and attentive and knows how to cheer you up whenever you're feeling down.

Clark: Mn.

Hal: Hey, there's this new bar that just opened up in downtown Metropolis! We should go and check it out this weekend! Whaddya say?

Arthur, Hal and Barry stare expectantly at Bruce.

Bruce: [slowly turns to look at Clark] I like the look of your bleeding heart.

Arthur, Hal & Barry: ???

Clark: [visibly cheers up] Thanks Bruce! You know, it took a few attempts to grow those flowers in outer space, but I finally got it right! They look slightly different from those cultivated on Earth, but I find them unique. I'm glad you like them too!

Arthur, Hal & Barry: It worked?!

i was watching some lego justice league movies (as one does) and found that superman and batman already have that barbie and ken mugshot meme so i did a redraw

Bruce gets accosted by reporters and one of them asks "Is it true that you're in competition with Superman to win Batman's affections?" and he is so taken aback bc what the fuck are they even talking about? There are a million questions going through his head such as, since when was superman into batman? since when was this public knowledge? wtf did bruce say to imply that he was into batman as well? And he doesn't have an answer to any of these questions so he just smiles and says, "No, I'm not. The word competition implies that Superman has a chance, which he does not."

why did he say that? Bruce doesn't know, it just felt like that's how Bruce Wayne would've responded bc what's more Brucie than fighting with Superman for Batman's heart? anyway, upon reflection, this was maybe not the best response in terms of long term consequences, but he's committed to the bit now.

a week after all this goes down, news reporter Clark Kent is caught saying that Batman deserves better than Bruce Wayne, so is a third suitor putting his hat in the ring to win over batman?

If Clark is kidnapped, he knows without having to ask that Bruce is going to hunt him down with the help of the entire Justice League. They’ll find him! He’ll be fine!

If Bruce is kidnapped, he’ll just sit there — maybe getting lightly tortured — and dread the arrival of all 17 of his kids, one angry Kryptonian without his emotional support human, Alfred having a RED moment, the Batcow, and all of the active JL members who don’t hate him right now (Hal Jordan will probably still come with, but he will complain the entire time)
