My personal theory, maybe too dull, is that Anakin remained being Vader all that long, just because Padme was gone, I think she could had redeem him a lot earlier...

Rating Padmé’s outfits in The Phantom Menace from worst to best.

Honourable mentions: Sabé decoy dresses.

9. Orange handmaiden dress. Pretty but basic.

8. Senate dress. I love her extravagant gowns, but there is such a thing as too much.

7. Travel and funeral dress. Pretty fabrics and colours, but I like others more. It’s a bit too baggy for my taste.

6. Attack on the capital. We love a queen who leads the charge to take back her planet, but it pales in comparison to others and I don’t like the hairstyle.

5. Tatooine outfit. Her natural hair is my roman empire ❤️

4. Black Coruscant dress. Love the beading on the sleeves and the hairstyle, especially the jewellery hanging down across her shoulders.

3. Gray Coruscant dress. The pearl headdress is stunning.

2. Victory parade dress. The cape resembles petals from a flower in Padmé’s home village that only blooms every eighty-eight years. She looks ethereal in white.

soooooo i did a redraw of my anidala art from five years ago (jeez). it's inspired by klimt's kiss and now it has upgraded anatomy :))

a jedi named skywalker frequently served as her personal guard…  anakin skywalker…  they must have become… friendly.

I want to share some drafts that I've made in the last years and never posted hah well, I love Chancellor Padmé AU! and I replicated this scene in the comic a little more into Anakin's character. He expected a GIRL. I get the writers were into Anakin is a boy so he'd want a boy thing and use Qui Gon's influence in Ani. However, ROTS book said otherwise, he expected Leia.

Like in the end I thoroughly disagree with the idea that Padmé and Anakin did not really know each other; I think it misses that part of the attraction for Padmé was that Anakin did know her as person rather than as the Queen or a senator or as an employer (to be seen without that mask of formality or propriety), and that the only person who can really rival Padmé truly knowing Anakin is Palpatine. Padmé has seen him at his best and his worse and she's experienced Tatooine and all that entails for Anakin.
