More old art. I was partial to the blue team but I knew the gold team had the heavy hitters.

Bruce asking Cullen and Bernard to help with a case because he needs input of someone with a perspective he doesn’t have and it takes a comical amount of time for them to figure out the perspective he needed was civilian and not gay

A monochromatic study of Morticia Addams. Was still getting to know color, having mostly done monochromatic drawings my entire life.

I know of like - four, maybe? - four Aboriginal queer books off the top of my head: two by Gary Lonesborough and two by Melanie Saward (who I had the distinct pleasure of meeting and gushing about the Babysitter's Club with earlier this year.) I want to read more Aboriginal authors, but I struggle when books aren't queer, which I know is distinctly a me problem but is still annoying. Also, Goodreads doesn't have any distinction between Indigenous Australian, Indigenous New Zealander, and Indigenous American books, they all just get lumped under the one category of "Indigenous," and this frustrates me because Aboriginal, Maori, and Native American stories are so different. Like, obviously they have commonalities in colonialism, and more still than that, but they're three distinct cultures! With even more distinct cultural groups and languages within them besides! They aren't all the same thing!
#posts that belong on my book blog but i'm putting here instead#if you know a queer aboriginal book tell me!#i'm trying to consume more indigenous media#skylark prive

i just saw someone say "Thunderbolts managed to create a superhero movie in which the Big Bad…was major depressive disorder and complex trauma."
this is blatantly untrue.
Thunderbolts managed to create a superhero movie in which the Big Bad was bipolar disorder and complex trauma.
there's a difference.

i did not feel better after cinema club and tbh i think i just want to be totally unavailable for the next three days so my phone is going into do not disturb. if people want to find me, they can place a piece of amethyst in a fairy circle and start praying to any god or saint of their choosing. if it works, they'll hear from me within a week.
#skylark prive#this is obviously a joke i don't care who messages me when but i am probably going to start making a conscious choice about who i reply to#at least instantly.
