Tenna is severely touch starved, and because of it, his whole body (but especially his face) gets all statick-y and fuzzy and warm when touched, and he leans into even the slightest touch without even noticing (Point it out, and he immediately tries to change the subject like changing channels)

i haven’t finished deltarune chapter 3 yet (i’ve been following merg’s gameplay videos) but even just about an hour and a half in i feel… something toward tenna?

i didn’t think he was my type but i guess i was wrong

You happened to go to a club with your friends, solely because they were all obsessed with Mettaton.  Of course, a robot performing on the Surface would gain quite popularity quick–the humans were fascinated by him, and he had a natural, charismatic air that drew the masses to him.  

But for you, it was the music that you enjoyed the most.

Obviously, someone put their heart and SOUL into that music, into composing every beat and making certain it was fitting for Mettaton and Shyren to harmonize.  It set a certain ambiance that helped highlight Mettaton’s musical strengths.  So, while everyone was drawn to the shiny robot and screaming their praises, your attention was elsewhere.

Particularly, on the ghost wearing headphones DJ’ing the event in the background.

They were lost in their own world, surrounded by the music, and you could tell.  As soon as the show ended, they seemed to draw away, attempting to hide from the spotlight.  You waited by the edge of the stage, and while everyone rushed for Mettaton’s autograph (and Shyren, too, although she seemed a little abashed herself and mostly allowed Mettaton the glory), you approached the little ghost while they were unhooking his equipment.  

“Hey,” you greeted, which caused them to flinch.  They turned to you and their eyes grew wider, before they started looking around as if you couldn’t possibly be addressing them.  “Your music is really awesome.”

“…oh.. sorry.. i, uh, didn’t know you were talking to me.. you really like it?”

You nod, smiling bright. “Yeah, do you write it all yourself?”

They look a little flustered for a ghost.  “yeah…”

You’re intrigued and want to keep the conversation going.  You gesture to his mixing equipment.  “Want some help?”

“oh, no… sorry, i’m fine, really… i.. uh, i’m not really doing anything with it.. i just wanted to look busy…”

They’re looking down and away from you.  Are they anxious?  You glance back toward the crowd, and then to them.  “You don’t like crowds?”  They shake their head.  “Would you like to go outside and talk, then?”

“i.. uh, i.. yeah.  sure… i’d like that…”

You grin; their cheeks actually look a little pink, which is insane to wrap your mind around considering they aren’t corporeal.  “You’re cute,” you can’t help but inform them with a good-natured laugh.   Their eyes go wide, the pink increases, and they start to actually fade away–you can see right through them.  “Oh, hey, don’t leave!  I didn’t mean to embarrass you.”

“…sorry… i’ve just.. uh, i’m not really…oh, i’m making this awkward, aren’t i?  well…. thank you…”

Their form begins to look more solid, and you grin and lead them outside.

By the time you’re outside, they’re somehow wearing a shiny, opaque top hat and a hint of a smile.
