There’s new blood this year too with the Dolphins making their debut in 2023, the first new team to join the competition since the Titans back in 2007. Super Rugby Pacific is a professional rugby union competition involving teams from the Pacific region. It is the successor to the Super Rugby competition, which was formerly contested by teams from New Zealand, Australia, South Africa, Argentina, and Japan.The Super Rugby Pacific competition is sanctioned by the Australian Rugby Union and New Zealand Rugby, and the winner is eligible to compete in the Global Rapid Rugby tournament. The competition is designed to strengthen rugby in the Pacific region and provide a pathway for Pacific Island players to play at the highest level. The tournament will follow a similar schedule to the 2022 season, with 91 matches played in a round-robin, followed by finals in a knockout format.The season is expected to run from Friday 24 February 2023

The first Fiji Bitter Serua 7s tournament aims is help the Serua rugby team prepare for the Vanua Cup competition this year.Tournament director Ilimo Vudinibola said funds raised from this tournament would go towards the preparation of their provincial rugby team.“We have been running tournaments for the past years and with Paradise Beverage coming in to sponsor us is a big help especially when we are working on developing these young players.”A total of 40 senior men’s teams, eight women and eight under 21 teams are expected to participate. Men’s registration is $500 and the winning purse is $5000. The competition will be held on February 24-25 at Thomson Park in Navua.

Rugby sevens is comming back to Los Angeles(Live Here) after Rugby Sedney sevens.Rugby sevens is a fast-paced, exciting version of rugby union that features teams of seven players, as opposed to the traditional 15. The sport has gained popularity around the world in recent years, and Los Angeles has been host to several high-profile rugby sevens events. One of the most significant rugby sevens events in Los Angeles was the USA Sevens, which was held annually at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California. The event was part of the World Rugby Sevens Series, which features the top rugby sevens teams from around the world. The USA Sevens event attracted fans from all over the world and was known for its festive atmosphere and high-energy matches. Unfortunately, the event was last held in Los Angeles in 2020, as the 2021 and 2022 editions were cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
