To share or not to share

Moving closer 

Anticipation…deliberation

    She copies the key

  And wonders

  Will he rob the sunshine from her window

  Shine it into the corners she wanted to remain undiscovered….

    Will he laugh at things she will be bashful about or be puzzled when she laughs at things….

  Which side of the bed will he lay his angel head…and who will rise first yawning….

  She holds the key tween thumb and finger sits at the stormwater grate ..to think..and wait…

    There will be more …than pants on the floor, a wallet and phone on a bedside table…..

    This is her room…her precious piece of territory  5 metres by 4....

a bed on the floor…

    And now he will invade every space….no quiet place to retreat from this intensity…

    Where will she go when their voices scratch eachother’s peace in the night and hearts become a clenched fist?

  Where will she lie to dream of him and wish that he was there …all the time…if he IS there…..?

  And then…there is the night…when she sheds her skin and darkness bares her soul like a curtain call……

    How can she let him see….

She drops the key….
