not very much far, i must admit. don't remember if i ever got to the reunion being honest. thinking of catching up with the manhwa first and the later rereading the novel... but i doubt how far i will go. i do miss my chaotic and traumatized family, though

why is the second world a wuxia... i am barely interested in it..... i am starting to understand why i saw people saying the hunter arc is not as good as the first part.......

the only thing holding me there is the reunion they'll have with choi jung soo

‘Do I not need to do anything during this war?’

Choi Han could not reveal his black aura.

Cale who was in his priest robe responded back with a shocked expression.

‘Is saving people not work?’

I just imagine them having this talk while cuddling in bed, Cale lying calmly on Choi Han's chest, and then Cale props himself up on an elbow and looks down at him incredulously

still thinking about choicale from time to time... the au that sometimes grabs hold of my head is one where cale dies while fighting the hunters and, instead of actually being dead, he regresses all the way to the first day he woke up as cale henituse. turns out the god of death has put this condition on him when he switched the souls, because he didn't expected krs!cale to be this... effective. he knew the guy could do this, but to not die at least once...? it made he even forget about it.

then, since he died, the others... don't react all that well. berserk mode on. choi han decides to make a deal with the god of death again, since he can use all his life span, which in turn would make the other dragons (still not so sure with it will be only raon and eruhaben or if mila, dodori and rasheel will do it too) make a deal with the god too. then everyone would go back to the past while offering the rest of their life span, probably tying it with cale's life span or something.

cale would be unaware of all of this until he meets choi han and is greeted with a hug instead of a suspicious stare. and if raon gets to them earlier than he should and with company, who is cale to complain?

i can't believe my eyes.... can't believe what i just read...

Choi Han, who had approached at some point, had grabbed the Blood Cultist by the back of his neck and slammed him into the ground. Crunch. He then grabbed the hand that had been aiming for Cale’s neck and twisted it back. It twisted in a direction it should not twist in. Basically, the arm was broken. ‘H, how swift?’ Choi Han’s reaction had been much faster than Cale had expected. It was as if he had been warily waiting for this to happen. Cale and Choi Han made eye contact. Cale slightly nodded his head to tell Choi Han that he did a good job. Choi Han smiled innocently, almost as if he was embarrassed, to show that it was nothing.

what are you embarrassed about 😭😭😭 he really did not hesitate, uh

i remember being caught out of guard while reading the scene even after seeing this post before 😭😭😭 it was so good!!!! the way he was so happy just by seeing choi han there that he could barely keep his expression in check.... the way park jin tae was confused was fuck because kim rok soo normally is not emotive like that. the way choi han did not hesitate to make a deal just to help his liege.....

The sparkling black Yong that was shooting up to the sky was turning faint and disappearing. However, Cale ran in the direction of the Yong. He could see someone walking over to him in the distance. The person started to move faster as Cale slowed down. "You- why are you-" "I needed to help you, Cale-nim."

no, but seriously. i can see him barely lifting a fist while saying it, with a somewhat serious look on his face, trying his best to not be on choi han's bad side. and ain't that cute? it is a reaction i wouldn't expect of a younger rok soo, not a non-sarcastic one at least.

he is so funny without even trying, i find it endearing. [and YES both of them are very cute <3 choi han has a lot of moments where he acts cute too, though i admit i love it more when he is a brat or a cheeky little shit 🤭🤭]

one of my favorites parts of chapter 416 is when cale acts cute for no reason:

Choi Han blinked himself to wakefulness and rolled out of bed. He stretched properly, yawning slightly through them, and moved over to his closet. Dressing was easy, the movements flowing through him like water. He walked over to the window, pulling the drapes apart to let the sunlight in. 

For a minute, he stood still. He took a breath, a breath, one more breath. The sensation of sunshine on his skin was like the first bite of his mother’s favorite tea. He blinked as the sunlight shone into his eyes.

He walked, stepping over the stone floors, on his way to the office. Out the windows that he passed, he could see the wolf children training. A warm feeling spread through his stomach, as if the sun itself had deigned to give him light. It pooled in the bottom of his belly, speeding up his steps as he hurried.

Around corners and through long hallways, and he arrived at a wooden door.

Choi Han breathed deeply, pulling in air through his nose, and wondered if his emotions were visible on his face. He didn’t think they were, but such things didn’t matter anyway. It wasn’t necessary.

Opening the door, pushing it open almost all the way, he sneaked in through the doorway before he could be sent away again.

The brilliant sunshine shone in through the open windows along the far wall, glowing with yellow and orange and red as it descended upon the body of Cale Henituse, sitting behind a big desk. Choi Han’s steps faltered slightly as he took in the sight of the light falling on Cale’s hair, turning it a fiery shade of red, akin to an open flame.

In the morning light, with so few candles lit, Cale’s hair shone like a miniature sun. Like he was glowing from the inside out, the light halo’d around him, surrounding him as he read reports.

“Choi Han?” Cale looked up, a frowning twisting his elegant features, “What are you doing here? Is something wrong?”

Choi Han just shook his head, walking over to the wall and standing still. His eyes sneaked peeks at Cale as the man kept working, Raon sitting next to him and a cat on his lap.

Even as the sun rose high into the sky and no longer reached through the windows, Cale never stopped glowing.

oh, i remember being very sad after discovering this. i went from manhwa to novel, so realizing there were some parts that were cut off — specially funny ones like that — made me a little sad.

it's just make it even funnier how he goes from 'who would make the protagonist work for them?' to shamelessly asking choi han to carry him out of the window because he couldn't do it alone xD

haven’t seen anyone mention this so i would just like to say: the trash count manhwa cut out the part where cale asks choi han to carry him out of the window and i need to know what coward was responsible-

yeah, that's exactly it!! seeing what funny business he will do next is one of the strongest points of the novel for me xD

I think the fun of throwing Cale into different universes stems from the fact that he would absolutely create a shit show regardless of where he is and I love that a lot.

i found it adorable how lee soo hyuk calls choi han "little han"... i was already very happy how he calls everyone just their name (jung soo, rok soo, han, jin tae etc) and then he added a 'little' and i was gone from this world.... i need more of this, i want them to learn from each other too (⁠╥⁠﹏⁠╥⁠)♡

sighs okay, i'm sold. i just started part two of the novel and i can't hold myself any longer — i need a place to vent about my feelings over tct. so, here am i.

just a warning, i'm a boring person who cares a lot about ships and relationships (and a little about the lore) so my posts will be mostly about that. feel free to talk to me anytime but please understand that my focus will be mostly on kim rook soo and krs!cale (and the relationships he has with others). i just love him too much. dunno if it makes any difference, but i am a strictly choicale shipper (for anyone who is curious). i also believe ohn, hong and raon are their kids xD it's my personal and favorite hc. i also may have affectionate feelings for lee soo hyuk — not my fault, he is amazing. oh, and i love hannah/mary as a ship too, the way they got attached to each other after mary saved hannah life's was just so good....

anyway ! don't like anything i like? just block me, please, it will be better like that. anyway, here i come to this fandom o/
