BEFORE MEETING KATE, garrett had never seen the point of a bed. vampires didn’t sleep, or get tired, and he hadn’t stepped a foot into a bedroom for at least two centuries. after finding his mate, though, beds and bedrooms started feeling like some kind of sacred place of theirs, for much more than the physical aspects of the bond they’d developed. being alone with kate in a place that was entirely theirs seemed like a necessity. he kept a gentle smile across his lips as the blonde’s hand ran all the way up his arm to stop on his shoulder, before grabbing it and bringing it up to his lips so he could lightly kiss her fingers. “ nothing. just... wondering if it’s a good idea to be here, right now. ” while he had never been one to shy away from possible confrontation, the idea of putting the woman in front of him in danger had been plaguing his thoughts since they’d arrived at the sleepy little town.

THE CULLEN HOUSEHOLD had been increasingly growing into a difficult place for jasper to be in. with the new town visitors and their mostly unknown agenda, the welcomed serene climate that usually emanated from his home had turned into one of nearly crippling anxiety. not being able to deal with so many negative emotions at once, jasper was left aimlessly wandering around the vast woods on the outskirts of the mansion, lost in his own mind. it is no wonder, after all, that once submerged deep into his thoughts, the empath would gravitate towards the woman with, perhaps, the most benign feelings he has ever encountered. “ i remember loving the smell of rain  a really hot summer day, back when i was a boy. ” the male mused indulgently, walking into the open field towards his maternal figure.

ok fam im back n ready to get 2/2 done like the productive Binch i rly am. but okay ... this is garrett , tall reckless bean who has to be stopped like ... 90% of the time basically . so yea also keep reading to learn more abt him n hmu if u wanna plot smth bc im here for all the plots rly

ok so garrett was born around the 1750′s or so n was turned during the american revolution by a nomad that attacked his group of soldiers , the only reason he survived was due to being the last one to b bitten n the vamp was kinda full by then n just didnt do a good job @ draining him tbh

so after he was turned he kept himself in the war n killed quite a few englishmen n thats where he met carlisle except he wasnt eating englishmen but helping injured soldiers 

n he has fought in every war the united states has been in ever since he was turned my lil soldier man

so he spent most of his life in v violent places n tbh garrett loves it ? he isnt an aggressive person whatsoever buT he loves a good fight n is also v good @ it

he’s v new to the vegetarian lifestyle as well n not rly fond of it ? he has p good control bc hes kinda old n all but he was always an indulger so not being able to feed until hes full kinda bothers him . 

buT he doesnt plan on leaving the diet either mainly bc he likes how he feels abt other vamps n ppl when hes on animal blood but also bc he doesnt wanna disappoint kate

ok now onto lil personality traits n headcanons : garrett loVES the united states alright he hates trump buT loves loves loves america honestly a real patriot

reckless bean !!! always likes doing things he prob shouldnt b doing n making everyone around him eyeroll

rly funny n outgoing n witty n always up to b a mischievous lil idiot he prob pranks ppl around him all the time

my headcanon is that garrett is a hamilton sTAN !! hates technology n anything modern buT has an ipod just so he could buy n stream the hamilton soundtrack to the moon n back . prob has watched the play 45 times at least n always corrects the historical inaccuracies to whoever is there w him ( its usually kate )

ok so jasper is p much canon ? except not rly bc there wasnt enough in canon jasper to create a roleplayable character but u know hes mostly the same

was born in the 1800′s, fought in the wrong side of the american civil war mostly out of duty ? n when i say that i don’t mean he didnt want to serve buT the main reason why he wanted to serve was bc he wanted to do what all the men around him were doing 

but yea so he joined the war when he was 16 n climbed the ranks real quick .. also died real quick . turned by maria so he could help her run her army of newborns n all that which he did v well n for a p long time yall ... like 75 yrs or so

buT since jasper is an empath , he could feel every emotion the humans he fed on / newborns he killed felt, n it was v hard for him tbh poor bby n when his friend peter ( who he had let escape w his mate charlotte a while before ) told him abt vampires living a different n more peaceful lifestyle he got the hell outta dodge .. specially since he could sense maria’s distrust whenever she was around him n figured it was only a matter of time before she got rid of him like he’d helped her get rid of her friends a few decades earlier

ok so he stuck around w peter n charlotte for aproximately ten yrs still feeding on humans n being angsty n broody bc he could still feel their emotions as he killed them

until he met alice n she introduced him to the vegetarian lifestyle n to love n to hope :’-)

ok for some personality details n funny facts : jazz is actually the 2nd newest veggie in the fam buT his control is ... not the best . since hes spent a loT of his life feeding on human blood switching to animal hanst been the easiest thing for him tbh . he’s had a few slip ups during his vegetarian life , but hes slowly getting better .

battle expert .. prob one of the most knowledgeable vamps when it comes to combat n battles n there r v few ppl who can beat him on a hand to hand combat specially when there r no gifts involved

has a preTTy bad rep around the community from his days of war lordship n feels v guilty abt them as well . touching his past is a good way to get him in deep levels of angstiness

likes videogames , wrestling w his siblings , history books , is v heart eyes abt his wife alice , has the threatening eye look down to a t n also is a sarcastic lil fella n makes some p bad dad jokes every once in a while ngl
