Why is it that the people who are most closely descended from, or follow the teachings of, the people who actively tried to erase queer people and their stories are now the ones demanding proof we have existed for longer than just the 2000s?

We want that proof back too, we want our history. I want to be able to learn about people like me, I want my potential children, neices, nephews, sibkids, etc to grow up in a world where they get to learn about every culture they want to dive into.

We shouldn’t be stuck in just one spot, one kind of relationship, one way of being described. I know this isn’t a radical idea and that a lot of people agree with me. It’s just that lately I’ve seen a lot of media outlets talking negatively about our community and that hurts, so here I am ranting to hopefully people that will listen.
