HELP URGENTLY NEEDED FOR JOBLESS DISABLED STUDENT

Since our lovely new execs have decided that the department I work for is redundant and to be shut down, I will be out of a job by the end of February. I’m currently in talks with a lawyer to help me figure out what the best way forward would be here. However, until I am (hopefully) granted advisory assistance, I’ll have to pay these costs in advance, which is 190€ an hour (proof, although in German, can be provided). Not to mention that I desperately need money for tuition for the upcoming semester (to be paid by January 15th). Believe me, I am deeply ashamed and distraught to have to do this, but I don’t know how else to cover these particular costs. Finding a job as a disabled person (again, proof can be provided) without a driver’s license and on such short notice while studying is near impossible. Every single Euro counts, I do wholeheartedly mean that. To cover the aforementioned costs, I currently need an estimate of 500€ (for tuition and legal fees). flashforward para um futuro onde dá certo pra elas duas. 

As escapadas no meio da madrugada para o mundo non-maj eram a parte favorita dos dias de Linda. Às vezes, sentia que vivia no piloto automático até que a hora de encontrar com Meliora — sempre depois da meia noite — chegasse. Nem mesmo o tempo nos estúdios da Briar Productions, fazendo o que mais amava — atuar — se comparava à sensação de liberdade que as pequenas aventuras lhe proporcionavam. 

Era algo delas, algo que ninguém mais sabia que faziam, e talvez fosse isso que tornasse as viagens tão especiais. Sendo uma figura pública, Linda estava acostumada a dividir da sua vida com o mundo, então ali estava a única coisa que não precisava compartilhar. 

Ademais, se tornara um hábito na relação das duas. Desde antes de assumirem terem alguma coisa, elas faziam aquilo. Idas às compras em Tóquio ou jantares no interior da Itália só porque Linda estivera entediada em sua eterna insônia em noites quaisquer; viagens à Hollywood para que Meliora conhecesse a lendária calçada da fama; a vez em que acabaram bloqueando um dos cartões de Merida por tanto gastarem em um cassino na Las Vegas de verdade... 

E agora que tinham alguma coisa e que nenhuma das duas escondia, tudo o que Linda queria era levá-la até Paris. Porque ela tinha um plano! Sabia que se dependesse de Meliora elas nunca dariam um nome para a “alguma coisa”, e que lugar melhor para exigir que a sua guarda-costas-colega-de-quarto-amiga-de-infância-atual-ficante lhe peça em namoro do que a própria Cidade do Amor?

O problema era que Meliora atrapalhava o maldito plano todas as vezes que se recusava a ir à Paris, o que resultava em uma Linda tentando vencê-la pelo cansaço ou pelo drama. Ou fazendo cara de cachorrinho pidão. 

“E alguma vez eles funcionaram, Meliora?” Revirou os olhos, soltando um suspiro dramático. “Qual é, é só por uma noite! Paris não vai te matar.” Insistiu, batendo os cílios longos, mesmo que a Dunbroch tivesse acabado de falar que aquela tática não funcionaria. 

Pensou por um segundo em argumentos que poderia usar para convencer a outra, mas acabou tendo uma ideia melhor. Como se uma lâmpada tivesse acendido na cabeça dela, Linda sorriu para si mesma. 

Antes que Meliora pudesse mencionar o sorriso diabólico presente nos lábios rosados da Adormecida, antes que sequer pudesse catalogá-lo como perigo, Linda se aproximou, cortando todo o espaço que havia entre elas. Preguiçosamente, colocou os braços ao redor do pescoço de Meliora, tombando a cabeça um tantinho para o lado. “E isso? Isso vai funcionar?” Perguntou, propositalmente descendo os olhos até a boca dela, demorando-os na região e mordendo o próprio lábio. “Porque vai ter bastante disso em Paris.” Deu de ombros, afastando-se abruptamente e virando de costas para que Meliora não pudesse vê-la sorrindo de novo. “Você decide agora, Melmel. To Paris, or not to Paris?” Dramatizou, fazendo um gesto com a mão.
