When it was discovered that Zalim (ironically meaning, cruel) was in the company of two very young cubs, those at Ranthambore feared the worst: that, as an adult male, he would kill them. Instead, he surprised naturalists with his “motherly” behavior when he took in his twin daughters following the death of their mother.
At this time, science stated that tigers were only as social as mothers and cubs could go and that tiger fathers rarely interacted with their offspring. Zalim changed that when he was witnessed, month after month, caring for his daughters and teaching them how to hunt. Their relationship eventually ceased when the two girls were shifted to Sariska Tiger Reserve and Zalim went on to father another litter with the then-dominant tigress Sundari, the so-called Lady of the Lakes. When she too mysteriously disappeared, Zalim unsurprisingly took care of their cubs as well.

So, fun fact about the skinned FurReal pony - I got the ID wrong, but only because Smores and Butterscotch's necks are semi-fixed in position, and I didn't think to google if the image I had of Butterscotch was mirrored.
The skinned horse IS Butterscotch, not Smores, but all of that's besides the point.
The reason I'm making this post is that y'all need to know that they skinned Butterscotch to turn her into a flamethrower

myth: Paul Revere rode through a bunch of towns shouting "the British are coming!!!"
fact: at a dinner party in 1822, Dorothy Scott claimed that a random man ran past her then-fiance John Hancock's house shouting "the British are coming!!!" on the same night as Paul Revere's ride
(it's unlikely he said that for the same reason that Revere didn't- they were all British; that would have made no sense to anyone -and she was probably either misremembering or altering events to fit the spirit of the more recent War of 1812, which was a clear-cut USA vs. Britain conflict. but oh man it's an even better story than the myth)
("damnit there goes Asaph again, screaming incoherencies at 11 PM. fucking Asaph, man")

Gender essentialism is still cringe if it is directed against cis people btw. Ive basically had someone say to me that cis people are biologically incapable of understanding less normalized gender identities because "their brains work differently". If anyone has this opinion please come forward now so i can block you thank you. The reason cis people dont understand gender in the same way trans people do is because trans people are naturally more exposed to the discussion about gender because we have to think about it a lot. Cis people, who have never doubted their identity, obviously dont think about it as much, if at all.
Cis people arent inherently more stupid than us, or less capable of talking about gender on a biological level. What would that even look like???
