'wah wah everywhere is falling to the right wing the whole world is doomed' literally like 6 months ago we were talking about how there was a trend in countries getting rid of their right wing governments. poland at the end of last year, france voted in a unified centre left/left alliance, even the UK finally got rid of the tories after 15 years (right wing splitting be damned, it still happened). outside of europe, bangladesh removed a dictator in like 2 seconds, india may have reelected their Evil Guy but on a DISTINCTLY reduced majority, theres been queer rights successes in thailand, with gay marriage set to be legal by 2025, and thereve been positive court cases on it in japan. and this is just stuff i vaguely remember hearing about. im sure theres more if you care to look for anything aside from more reasons to make yourself miserable

the US has a distinct effect on everyone, so this won't be fun for anyone (least of all its population. sorry guys), and there ARE a lot of people sliding into right wing extremism, but presenting this like its an unchallenged worldwide phenomenon is inaccurate, its damagingly bleak, and all it does is encourage despair and apathy. you DO have political power, and you shouldnt forget that just because of bad election results and the media's desperation to make you lose hope

Here is the blocklist. Lizzo removed after apologizing and donating. Zendaya and Selena Gomez on thin ice after an instagram story about raising money but no proof she donated and support in the past but intentional silence now

anyway, i have gone back and forth with being unsure about how effective the blockout can be, but after seeing lizzo and brittany broski rush to make statements and support palestine as soon as they were put on people’s block lists, i’m supporting the movement and urging my followers to as well.

for those who don’t know, the blockout began on tiktok as a movement to start blocking celebrities, on their main platforms like twitter, instagram and tiktok, which affects their engagement and ad revenue— namely celebrities who have not spoken up in support of palestine, or have done the very bare minimum.

my blocklist to start with will include all of the kardashians, selena gomez, taylor swift, harry styles, beyoncé, jay-z, halsey, rihanna, ariana grande, and all of their brands/promotional accounts like taylor’s taylornation, rem beauty/rare beauty/about face (ariana, selena and halsey’s brands respectively), kim’s skims brand, and so on.

blockout 2024 is happening!!!! millions of people are blocking celebrities who are silent/neutral about palestine (and other things such as the congo) OR are open zionists.

celebrities will lose money and attention without follows, views, or their stores. there are accounts on tiktok giving block lists, and some include:

taylor swift, drake, the kardashians, tom brady, the jenners, kanye, dj khaled, madonna, billie eilish, bad bunny, jay z, kevin hart, and many many more

blockout also encourages doing other things to make celebrities lose money, such as going to their online shops, putting as much as you can into your cart, and leaving it on the payment screen. this causes the store to lose money as when your items are in the cart, they are essentially on hold and will cause a huge drop in stock.

you can also sign up for these stores with your email and mark all emails as spam. when you see an ad for these celebrities and their affiliated stores, report them and/or press not interested!! this messes with the system and tells tiktok/other medias that these ads are unwelcome and will put out less of them.

this is mainly for celebrities but includes any influencers. youtubers, artists, political figures, anyone. and when they realize that they are losing money, they will pretend to care. do not unblock them!!!
