Tried writing something all day yesterday and came up with the following. Please tell me honestly what you think. Or if some places should be changed or re-worded. Love, Stella.

Relations with the past committed for the future might best describe the inspirations with which Martin Margiela forms his work. From his first collection, he has gambled with his emotive instincts to evolve the ideas he felt would best describe the world around him. He is willing to take a chance, to gain either criticism or success, and it is this pure energy that continues to be present in every collection.

The sensual rawness and simplicity in his work is a committment I recognize to be of the first order and a dialogue that will not rest but find new avenues of adventure. His work is an expression of a unique perception which most importantly manifests the catalyst to stir the all too fleeting sensuality of emotion.

One can feel that Martin’s work starting from his first collection and up to the present are part of a cycle that relates both his own past and to the future of his designing. This is how and why his work evolves without a break.
