At 26 my mom had 3 kids and was running a farm cause dad worked all the time.

this is perhaps evil but I can boost my mood in almost any situation by playing a game called "what was my mom doing at this age?" like rn for instance I'm sleepy because I had a 12 hour work day + stayed up late, and my stomach hurts a little from the enormous chimichanga I smashed for dinner, and my head hurts a little bit from the fat margaritas I had with the chimichanga. and it's like hmm, okay, not optimal, but when my mom was this age she had a 2.5 year old to deal with. can you fucking imagine. can't stay in bed decadently bemoaning your overindulgences because there's a goblin in the next room that's utterly dependent on you for food and hygiene and social needs and if you drop the ball you've fucked up a perfectly good person. and I'm pretty normal so shout out to her for keeping it together but god that couldn't be me, I like fucking around way too much.

I wanna know where people have lately gotten the audacity to leave comments on fanfics talking about how much the fanfic sucked and negatively critiquing an author's fic like it's a published book review.

It pisses me off cause I've seen authors abandoned or delete their fics because of this.

You're getting fanfics for FREE! No one asked for your opinion.

I hope y'all know as authors we get email notifications when you comment so we see EVERY comment that's been left.

We also can see the negative reviews you leave when you bookmark our fics

If you're eating with a group of people, wait until everyone has been seated and served their food before you start eating.

This shows compassion towards whoever is still waiting for their food, a sense of "hey, if you're hungry but still have to wait then we're in this together". Especially in the occasion where you're having dinner at someone else's house it shows appreciation towards the host serving the food, that whoever is putting in the work to make and serve a meal for others still gets to start eating at the same time as everyone else, that they're not being left behind because of their generosity of cooking and serving a meal for others.

Of course in some situations, such as someone's food is taking much longer than everyone else's while your own food is starting to get cold, you can always politely ask "do you mind if I start?" to still give that sense of consideration for the person still waiting for their food.

This isn't always black and white, in some situations such as a buffet where people just get up and get more food at their own whim this rule generally doesn't apply. But when in doubt, just politely ask "do you mind if I get started?"

Donald trump is not our savior. He is a deeply flawed and sinful man. And this still does not address the root cause in the battle of good and evil, being for or against Christ

It is an absolute act of mercy that we won’t be sitting under Kamala Harris as she signs baby murder into national law and utterly destroys all foreign relations

And for this we can say: Donald trump is not to be lifted above the status of a fellow human. We should not praise him as more than merely human. But his win is absolutely worthy of celebration
