Lost Signal (Selfshipping Information) -

Been a while since a did one of these. Was in a writing mood so I decided to complete this. ~ Gummi

Note: I will be placing some headcanons (might add some more over time if I think of any) so if you don't like it or don't agree that's totally fine just don't be an ass about it. Also if you're non-sharing with the character I'm writing for and are uncomfortable with it that's also fine and acceptable. I'm personally sharing for all characters I like (if you have some posts of you're own then please share I'd love to hear them) and if you're not comfortable with it then you're free to not interact with this post/ this account in general.

Grey:

- Duo Name = Lost Signal

- Source = Hypno’s Lullaby V2 FNF Mod + Created by/belongs to Madame McHummus

- Honestly I’ve always been attached to Grey ever since the V2 of the mod got released. Obviously my feelings for him have changed since I was 16 myself compared to the now nearly 20 year old me and I’ve started seeing him as more of a son-like figure. I can’t really see it in any other way now.

Some HC’s:

- Though it is pretty much canon that he’s a child trapped in a character’s body I have somewhat rewritten his story because why not with some things I heard what Madame McHummus has said herself about Grey and Shinto’s story. I’m not sure if she has added or removed something about the story but still I’m keeping it like this just for my slimyverse au.

- I headcanon him to be Bisexual, Trans and use he/him pronouns. Though him being bisexual is actually canon I hc him as trans because why not? I just see him as trans.

- I also headcanon him as either born and raised in Russia or at least grew up in Russia because if you don’t know the character he is trapped as is from a Russian bootleg called Собрать ПН 9 (or also stated on the lullaby wiki as Collect Mon 9) and to me I’m automatically assuming that he either is fully/partially Russian or isn’t but has at least lived in the country up until when he got trapped in the game.

- I actually have a non-canon name for Grey before he got trapped in the game. I picked Leo because honestly I really like that name and thought it suited him. Also I’m pretty sure that I may or may not have seen someone else use it and decided to steal it. Completely forgot who though but credits to them.

- Has terrible memory problems especially when it comes to his life before he got trapped. He just cannot remember anything but is somewhat able to piece something e.g. him knowing/understand russian so he assumed he at least live in Russia for a bit etc.

- He gets scared extremely easily. He’s just an anxious person and understandably so considering the situation he’s in. He just has a really hard time trusting things because he honestly doesn’t know what type of situation he’s in or how he even got into it.

- I headcanon Grey as being a combo of a human, phantom and glitch. Though I’ll explain more in detail further down to summarise why I headcanon him as this is a. Obviously with him and his character both being human, b. due to him canonically dying after the events of Shitno making him a phantom in a sense and c. when he and Gummi met Gummi decided to use his advanced alien technology to free him and by extension Shinto which in return gave him and Shinto glitch like abilities.

- I like to think Grey is extremely clumsy. He has multiple scars tiny, medium or large all over his body. It’s kind of a combo of what he got before he got trapped and after. He is mostly still trying to get used to his new body so that is mainly the reason on how he gets them.

- It’s actually canon that if he was an official Pokemon trainer then his team would consist of a Furret, Torchic, Totodile, Tyranitar and Wigglytuf. To take it a step further I’d like to headcanon him actually having these as his team in the game he’s in only bootleg.

For How Him And Gummi (My Sona) Met:

- As for how he and my sona met I’m going to have to go on a little splurge on his backstory for my version of events (also known as the slimverse au), some info stated by Madame McHummus plus what is mentioned on the lullaby wiki (Note: some of the following info stated is based off of what Madame McHummus said at least 4 years ago. It is possible that she changed it since then but regardless I am sticking to this). So as mentioned earlier he used to be a 16 year old boy named Leo. He pretty much acted like how a 16 kid should just be a little more anxious. However at some point a family member who worked on the Собрать ПН 9 and some other members who worked on it decided ‘why not put a soul in the game?’ because they were too lazy to finish off the coding of the character in the game. So he was picked, killed then got his soul transferred in the game now under the alias Grey with little to no memory of his past life.

- So here he was in a place he didn’t recognise, forced to be with this bootleg Hypno creature (I hc Shinto to be the bootleg version of the Pokemon Hypno because why not) who he then tried to capture which only caused more troubles for him. Then all of a sudden he felt a presence. A new presence. On Gummi’s end he wanted to get some new games and somehow was able to come across the one Grey was trapped in and he immediately became interested in him as well as Shinto. Grey when first coming in contact with Gummi he was scared shitless. He didn’t know what he was and honestly he’d rather not. He definitely had a feeling that Gummi wasn’t human.

- It took the two a while for the two to actually bond. Mostly from Grey’s end. Gummi was more than happy to become friends with Grey. Honestly despite being a little scared he did want to become friends with Gummi. He didn’t know how to describe it but he had a feeling he could. Eventually though the two did manage to get along which then started to lead to him being able to get out of the game he was in. As mentioned earlier, it happened because Gummi used his advanced alien technology to get both him and Shinto out. Admittedly it took him a while to get used to being back in the real world because although he was happy to be out he was used to being in that game.

Some Scenarios About Grey + Gummi:

- When it comes to Grey finding out that Gummi is an alien I feel like he realises somewhat quickly. I mean as said before he definitely knew that he wasn’t human because there’s no way humans can do what he does but he didn’t know what he was specifically. When he does get told that Gummi is an alien he was surprised because he didn’t think aliens exist but he once shown proof then he just accepts it. I mean he really doesn’t have a choice. It's not like Gummi can change what species he was because someone didn’t believe that he was a different species.

- As mentioned at the start Gummi sees Grey like a son and he after a while sees Gummi as a parental figure/parent. I have this funny scenario of how he eventually tells Gummi this and it was initially something he did absentmindedly. The two like to do activities together and despite Gummi not really knowing much about humans he tries his best to learn it for Grey and Grey honestly really appreciates it. One day after Gummi does something for Grey instead of him saying “Thank you” or “Thanks Gummi” he goes “Thanks dad” before the two freezed up realising what Grey just said. Initially Grey tries to dismiss it extremely embarrassed at the slip up, meanwhile Gummi tries his absolute hardest not to cry in front of him. The two do resolve it with Grey asking if it’s alright if he refers to Gummi as his mum/dad to which Gummi just hugs him and happily accepts it.

- Since it had been who knows how long since he’s been trapped in the game so admittedly he has forgotten some things about the real world. As mentioned in the previous paragraph Gummi likes to help him relearn it despite him not knowing much as well. It’s like a little bonding session the two have.

- I’d like to think that Grey, both before getting trapped and especially after getting freed, is a massive gamer but is a little bad at completing a game if it has levels. If he is struggling on one he likes to go to Gummi and ask if he could complete it to which he accepts. He doesn’t even need to ask Gummi sometimes because as soon as he hands him whatever device he’s playing the game in, Gummi assumes he needs help. Sometimes he actually succeeds, sometimes he is unable to complete it as well which makes the two laugh.

- Gummi spoils the absolute fuck out of Grey even when he asks him not to. He’s willing to get anything for Grey. If Grey wants a certain food then Gummi gets it, If Grey mentions wanting a game then Gummi gets that game as soon as he can, even something like an item that reminds Gummi of him he gets it.

- I feel like Grey isn’t that much of a physical touch person. I mean though he doesn’t want to admit it he is a bit touch starved but he rather do it on his own accord. When this does happen he gets extremely clingy. Especially when he’s having a rather emotional time trying to get used to an actual life. Sometimes he just has moments when he panics about things like what his previous life was like and overall being extremely insecure about everything. Sometimes a little hug can solve everything to which he just goes up to Gummi and just gives him the tightest hug he can muster. No questions asked. To which Gummi just accepts knowing his history.

- With all the stuff Gummi does for him Grey likes to attempt to return the favour. I say attempt because sometimes he either struggles or completely fails. Like if he’s trying to cook him something it’s either raw or burnt, if he tries to craft something then somehow it breaks etc. and he gets both upset and a little frustrated. But Gummi accepts the effort and appreciates Grey trying to give him something in return regardless on how he screwed it up.

I normally don’t talk about this series but I just realised something while rewatching a season.

Spoilers ahead if you haven’t watched squid games (in general but season 3 more specifically)

So squid games right? I was rewatching season 2 of squid games and I’m currently on episode 6. And I just had a moment of realisation.

So do you know that scene when Seon-Nyeo (Player 044) goes up to Hyun-ju, Geum-ja, Yong-sik and Gyeong-seok and basically puts a curse on them and Geum-ja tells the other three to ‘cleanse themselves’ and basically spits then wipes Hyun-ju and Yong-sik but not Gyeong-seok? Then by then end of season two it is basically assumed that he died while the other three lived?

Well if you watched season three then I assume you know who has died and who hasn’t. Well this is when I had the realisation.

Basically out of all the four only Gyeong-seok survived yet the other three died. Despite him being the only one not being cleansed.

Summary - My Sona and Costume go on vacation (more specifically a beach)

Warnings = Costume’s murderous background does sort of get mentioned and a slight mention of committing murder but no murder gets committed (does this count as a warning? Idk putting it here just in case)

“...do we really need to do this Gummi?” I hear Costume grumble to himself as he carried a beach umbrella alongside some other items like towels, shovels, plastic toys to make sand castles out of and much more. But me on the other hand I wasn’t paying much mind to his grumpy behaviour. I formed a tight grip on the handle of the basket I was carrying that was full of food and drinks the two of us could drink but knowing his stubbornness on not revealing himself it probably just be me. “Oh come on stabby boy what’s the harm in relaxing for once?” I teased him with the nickname and though he had the costume head on I could tell he was rolling his eyes “first off all you know damn well why and second quit it with the nickname” he told me off but his harshness didn’t faze me. “And that’s why we’re having this vacation because you’re too tense with your past and you need to relax.” I told him though still somewhat playful did have a slight seriousness in it. I tilted my head putting on a fake show of me being upset “plus you actually promise that you’re actually going to do this. Just for today go along with it please?” I added on, giving Costume those puppy dog-like eyes. He just looked at me for a moment before sighing to himself and mumbling something under his breath “I swear you’re going to be the death of me some day.” Hearing his defeat a little chuckle came out of my mouth “trust me killing you is the last thing on my list” I joked with him causing him to let out an amused scoff “look how about over there, there’s practically no one so you won’t get spotted okay?” I said pointing towards a seemingly isolated area knowing how Costume hated being in the open. He looked over to where I pointed and said “looks good enough.” he said, causing me to immediately head over there like an impatient child. Costume let out a tiny chuckle before following me not that far behind me.

When the two of us arrived at the spot I happily placed down my basket before helping Costume with the stuff it had in its hands. “Are you sure you won’t get too hot in that Costume?” I asked as I layed out the towels we had. “I would’ve turned into a puddle of goop if I was in your place.” I said to it, “I’m used to the heat..” Costume replied back as it started to set up the beach umbrella “that’s what happens when you spend years pretending to be a well known game mascot.” it added on as it finished setting up the umbrella. I just sighed before plopping myself on a towel looking around the area noticing the waves crashing in “don’t the waves look beautiful Costume?” I said out loud causing it to look at them before sitting down next to me “Eh…more of a forest person but they do look nice.” I turned my head toward it with a smile on my face “wanna take a dip?” I asked “no I’m good…not getting wet.” Costume immediately replied back, causing me to pout slightly “aww alright.” I said, causing Costume to tilt its head “I’m not stopping you Gummi if you want to go then go.” Costume said trying to encourage me to go but I stood my ground. “I want to stay by your side so if you're not going I’m not either.” Costume let out an amused chuckle before saying “You're definitely a stubborn one aren’t you?” it teased me causing me to play into it “it’s one of my best qualities” I said before laughing it off “Let’s just chill out for a bit, alright?” I said before laying on my back making Costume think for a bit before replying back “y’know what…sure.” it said before laying on its own back.

…maybe this vacation thing wasn’t a bad idea overall.

Chernobyl And Kriz Have Some Explaining To Do
