I finally feel ready to open up the pressure ask blog discord server!

Everyone is welcome.

It's not perfect, but I hope all of us ask blogs (and anons or lurkers!) can unite and have a single space to share our interest or just interact. I'd appreciate it if this was reblogged :)

She settled nearby, watching them as they worked. “That’s very kind of you, it’s nice to know that others choose mercy towards those humans.”

She let out a gentle intrigued hum. “Do you create these ones, then? That’s rather impressive if so.”

In the deep waters of the let-vand zone, a bright blue light illuminating pretty far away. Another similar light accompanied it, though much smaller and green in coloration. The lights that guide expendables through the waters. And Lux. Their many eyes narrow as they stick another makeshift light into position. It's body sways rhythmically behind it, finally finishing and starting to move to the next spot.

A tingling feeling slowly makes it's way into their body. They hesitated, glancing around before quickly finding the causation behind them. Lux's eyes widen, expression dropping as it examines the being in front of them.

"Oh my-!"

It squeaks, shining a bit brighter than before while it backed up slightly

"UHM.. You wont uh. Eat me, correct?.."

“Apologies for startling you, little one.” She didn’t move to stop them from backing up, hovering in the ocean a small distance away.

“You’re not the type of food I like to eat, so no there’s no need to worry.” She gave a gentle smile “I was simply curious as to what you’re doing here.” She nodded to the lights to show just what she meant.

She was excited for them, making a little warble before speaking up. “Gift Hor-se..? Friend have lot!” She didn’t seem to know metaphors, for all they knew she could’ve thought they were talking about a real horse or something, but she was still no less enthusiastic.

Something approaches. A nearby ventilation shaft creaks as a pair of glowing orange eyes shine through the darkness, the grate of the vent popping off as a strange-looking creature enters the room. They look like an otter (although much, much bigger than any natural sea or river otter could grow to), but they have the luminescent wings and internal glow of a sea angel, and the frills of an axolotl ring their head instead of the normal round ears of an otter. "...Hello? Anyone in here?" @blacksites-apex-predator (I told ya I'd be sending in my otter OC! They're also part sea angel, so that could make for a fun dynamic- ^_^)

She wasn’t put off by their unusual look, her nubby antennae wiggling to get a better look while she snatched another random keychain attachment in a drawer she was looking through. “Hi friend! Here.”

"Mh!" it seems that was the right assumption. She replicated their head movement and cocked her head to the other side, not sure why they were doing that. "Find thing-s?"

Something approaches. A nearby ventilation shaft creaks as a pair of glowing orange eyes shine through the darkness, the grate of the vent popping off as a strange-looking creature enters the room. They look like an otter (although much, much bigger than any natural sea or river otter could grow to), but they have the luminescent wings and internal glow of a sea angel, and the frills of an axolotl ring their head instead of the normal round ears of an otter. After securing her newfound keychain to her belt with her other mismatched keychains she turned to them, tilting her head slightly before giving a rather belated wave. "Hi! What do?" She waddled closer and reached out only to give them a little bap-bap on their face (if she could reach) for... Whatever reason that she had decided on. "Friend collect? Auhm, explore?"

Kinda an announcement? Kinda not? Either way ooc post that I don’t think is important enough to warrant the important tag

Sorry I’m not replying to asks super fast I’ve been doing things and wanted to let you guys know about it! I’ll tell what I’ve been doing and what my plans for the blog are after.

- First off I’ve been making a model from scratch in blender, it’s hopefully going to be a fully working sluggle model, I likely will not make it a model anyone can use (sorry) and I’ll show it when done but it will take a while.

- Second I am working on a discord server for pressure ask blogs! It will be open to all ages and all types of ask blogs from oc to canon and etc, as well as those who just follow and send asks to blogs. It’s almost done but I still have a bit more work left to do.

- Lastly for what I’ve been up to, I’m working on 2 posts to work as documentation and info about sluggle and lumi (separately), so people can find out more specific details that won’t be on ref sheets as well as lore and other things people figured out through asks or rps.

> Now for the blog itself I shall clarify I am not leaving because I made it sound that way lol

> I am planning to try and doodle more for asks! Not every single one but I would like to draw more! They will likely be between 3 types and it will all depend on just how I’m feeling that day: sketch, chibi, and rhe current color filled sketch.

> I am thinking of adding a few more tags to further differentiate posts (ie rp, reblogs, asks) instead of the general ones I have now, but that is just an on the fence idea.

> There is a chance I will move lumi and natalie to their own blogs, or remove natalie from blogs entirely due to the fact I haven’t finished her lore enough to be satisfied. For now I may add that asks have to have an indicator between sluggle or lumi or both otherwise it will be defaulted to sluggle. Once again unsure if I will actually add this or not.

> Last thing, I plan to try to do events even if mini ones, I do have a plan for an event rather soon, possibly a week or so from now but don’t take my word as gospel because I’m not entirely sure if I will or won’t.

“No know, ahm, curl hair cool!” She didn’t really care for her appearance, to her she just was and that’s how it is.

"Ouah! New friend!" She seems to approve.

Genuine and fun lil analysis: Sluggle would be confused when first meeting Allo since she hasn't seen another sea angel for a while, but she'll be quick to realize he's just another friend. (Although she probably doesn't realize he was human before instead of sea angel before.) She'd probably be quicker to label him with a parental term than others due to being a sea angel as well. The only drawback is she will try to nibble him more often than others because of her minor lack of smarts, try to keep her from being poisoned like the dumb-dumb she is.

If youre curious as to how Lumi (Sluggle's unofficial mama and the big leviathan) would react to him she would be friendly as usual, though she would find a kinship with him for knowing and possibly taking care of the "Little Dear".

"NO!" She seems to be heavily against that idea, after all her nubby antennae are very sensitive. How would you like it if someone nibbled on your eyes, eardrums, and scent receptors all at once? Likely not much!

"Big! Like cool." Honestly, if she had a sense of mortal danger maybe her opinion would've been different. But she doesn't, so it's instead positive.

"Um... Long?" She hasn't seen enough otters to have a real opinion. Now that she's thinking about it has she ever seen a real otter..?
