I love instruments so much because you have to learn to form yourself to the instrument, how to use your body to help them make the most beautiful sounds; neither of you can do it on your own and it's such a sweet relationship, they make such pretty noises and are built so beautifully in both appearance and texture, and as the human you're the only one who really understands the specifics of this specific instrument, since every guitar or piano or trumpet etc is slightly different, and you get to be the one person who knows the exact pressures that make the exact sounds on it, and you always have room to get to know them more.

silly post about bikes and guitars aside though i know i just have Object Empathy Autism flavor but i truly think it should be more normal to love the things that serve as cornerstones in our lives. i love my bed. i love my omelette frying pan. i love my vacuum. i take care of these things because in turn they take care of me. they are part of our home. i think often anti-consumerism theory is centered on making 'things' less important when, ive always found its the opposite. i love these individual things, so i will take care of them, i will repair them, i wont throw them away in favor of overconsumption as much as possible. i will take time with them and appreciate the little parts of my home instead of feeling the need to constantly make it up to trend. i dont think its wrong to love places and things... it is lack of appreciation that is wrong
