📍 Downtown Alachua, FL
☕️ Good Life Station
Just explored one of the coolest spots in Alachua — Good Life Station. It’s part coffee shop, part creative studio, and all heart. Whether you’re grabbing a morning brew, having a meeting, or stepping into their media room to create something big, this place captures everything I love about small-town life.
It’s cozy, welcoming, and buzzing with local energy. The kind of spot where strangers become friends and ideas come to life.
If you’re ever near Alachua, swing by and see why it’s not just a name — it’s a lifestyle.
🎥 Check out the video!

🧭 Exploring Fort Mose – A Forgotten Chapter of Freedom
Just outside the bustling streets of St. Augustine lies a piece of American history that most people have never heard of — Fort Mose Historic State Park.
In 1738, this land became the first legally sanctioned free Black settlement in what is now the United States. Enslaved Africans who escaped British colonies found refuge here, freedom in exchange for joining the Spanish militia and converting to Catholicism.
Walking the trails, seeing the marshlands, and stepping inside the museum — it hits different. This isn’t just a historical site… it’s a legacy of resistance, hope, and courage.
📍If you’re anywhere near Northeast Florida, this place is a must-visit.
🎥 I made a short video about it — check it out here
Let’s bring this hidden history to light.

Wandering Alachua – Where History, Heart & Hometown Pride Meet
by Small Town Joe
There’s something about Alachua, Florida that just pulls you in.
Maybe it’s the historic Main Street lined with charming brick buildings and American flags swaying in the breeze. Maybe it’s the way everyone waves, even if they don’t know you. Or maybe it’s the fact that this town, though small, feels big in heart.
I spent the day wandering through downtown Alachua—camera in hand, taking in the little details that make this place so special. The mom-and-pop shops, the cozy cafés, the flower pots on every corner. It’s clear this community takes pride in how it presents itself.
And then there’s the people. I chatted with shop owners who’ve been in business for decades and locals who shared stories of growing up here. One even told me, “You don’t just live in Alachua—you become part of it.”
What I love most? The blend of history and progress. You feel the past in the old buildings and deep roots, but there’s also a sense of momentum—a community growing, yet still grounded in who it is.
Alachua isn’t flashy. It’s real. And that’s why I’ll keep coming back.
Until the next small town,
—Joe

🌿 Strolling Through High Springs, Florida 🌿
Took a peaceful stroll through downtown High Springs today, just soaking in the charm and fresh air. This town has such a perfect blend of small-town vibes and the great outdoors—oak trees lining the streets, a breeze in the air, and adventure always just around the corner.
As I was snapping a few photos and filming some b-roll, the manager of one of the restaurants noticed me and waved me over. Turns out, they loved what I was doing and actually invited me inside to capture more! Talk about Southern hospitality. 🙌
The place was unlike any restaurant I’ve seen—totally unique, full of character, and rooted in the spirit of High Springs. Places like this remind me why I love exploring small towns. You never know who you’ll meet or what kind of hidden gems you’ll find.
