Quick question, I keep seeing tiktoks about college students doing this so I gotta ask
Personally I never pulled an all nighter when I was a student, I honestly thought it was a movie thing and not something students do.

So in the season 2 episode 1 of the IwtV the vampire Armand has mentioned selling the Bacon triptych.
Tumblr media
The triptych they have in the penthouse. It`s Three Studies for Figures at the Base of a Crucifixion by Francis Bacon

Three Studies for Figures at the Base of a Crucifixion, Francis Bacon, 94 × 74 cm, Oil and pastel on Sundeala board, 1944, Tate Britain, London
It portrays the trio of shrieking and writhing gray figures against a fiery orange backdrop. Bacon interpreted them as the Eumenides* from Aeschylus’ Greek tragedy, the Oresteia. He held this work in high regard throughout his life, dismissing anything he had created prior to it.
*Eumenides aka Furies are goddesses of vengeance in Greek mythology
The content of the Oresteia is the fate of the Atreides family, represented by Agamemnon and his son Orestes. Before the Trojan campaign, Agamemnon sacrifices his daughter Iphigenia. He achieves his goal and returns to his homeland victorious, but there he dies at the hands of his wife Clytemnestra, who acts under the influence of a desire for revenge for the death of her daughter and criminal love for her husband's cousin, Aegisthus.

saw a grown woman on tiktok snidely calling gen z the christopher columbus generation bc someone’s fifteen year old son ‘thought he’d discovered weezer’. newsflash every generation finds out about the music of the previous generation at some point it comes free with being fifteen. being annoying about music also comes free with being fifteen. a kid saying yeah i’ve just found this band nirvana have you ever heard of them should be a thing of joy
