New art blog!

Since my tumblr page is a mess of art and reblogs I have decide to create a blog just for my work.

I have already rebloged some of my older art from here onto that blog.

I will purely post my art there and I can answer questions on what I use to draw and other art related questions on there.

This is WAY too true. One of the reasons I left Amino.

I had someone calling me selfish and other shit like that because I didn't want to let them use my work despite asking NICELY. They PMed me and started insulting me and acting all innocent on their wall like "I'm not like this, please let me use it. Please" trying to make me look bad for not letting them use MY art! Despite making a post NOT to use that very artwork.

Amino is the most toxic platform I have EVER been on. Theres a lot of very nice people dont get me wrong but the amino team and many small entitled kids on there is ruining it for EVERYONE. It had potential 3 years ago. They ruined the whole app with pointless updates AND it takes up *4GB* of storage which is a LOT especially for a platform like this... a high intense graphics AR game I have barely takes up about a GB...

Amino vs Art Theft.

Truth be told, at this point I absolutely hate Amino and no one can change my mind.

There’s so much art theft on the app, and no one is trying to do something against it. There is no “report” button, there is no “DMCA” request. You can only ask the MODs or ADMs to remove the art, but sometimes they will refuse to remove it, or even start being aggressive, throwing tons of stupid excuses for their acts. And you’re forced to download the app and make an account to request them to take down your art.

That being said - even the ADMs and MODs are supporting art theft. 

For example, my friend asked an ADM from SU BR Amino to take down a post because they CROPPED their watermark, the ADM refused to take it down and said that they would make a new post crediting the art. (And they blamed Pinterest users for cropping the watermark - which as a lie).

My friend explained that reposting art without permission is a crime (and in fact, it is) and they said that they weren’t stealing (because no one claimed the art as their own) so it wouldn’t be considered a crime.

My friend told the ADM that artists disliked Amino because art theft as something common, and then, the ADM told their friends about it - and the same people stalked my friend and started to victim-blaming and saying bad things about my friend, like “you are disgusting”. 

After joining the artists community on Tumblr, I’ve meet some artists that share similar stories, and ALL of them have the same dislike for Amino that i have.

For short, if you are a creator, and ask them to take down your art or edit, or they’ll ignore you, or being completely arrogant and disrespectful.

Now stop a minute and think about it with me - 

An Amino blog with more than 100,000 users (where most of the users are minors) learning to support art theft, while both ADMs and MODs are being immature and doing nothing about it. 

Art theft is a big issue on the internet already, and the kids are not learning to respect the artists - they are learning the opposite.

Kids are idolizing the MODs and the ADMs, and not the content creators. 

So what do you think will happen in the future?

Not to mention this damn watermark: 

Re-watermarking an artwork? This should be ilegal.

Now, seriously:

- Don’t roleplay as others characters.

- Don’t re-name, trace or steal others characters.

- Don’t repost art when the artist has clearly said they don’t want that.

I’m not saying that ALL Aminos are like that. But only few Aminos are absolutely against art theft and have guidelines about it.

I LOVED the new ink design and just had to draw it! First time looking at it and I already liked it more than the old one. I don't know why but it just fits him so much better!

I haven't drawn Undertale in a while and this is officially my first drawing of 2020! It's not amazing but it was fairly quick and it's just some base colours, who knows maybe I'll finish it at some point. And I know his toes are wrong but shush XD

My family doesn't use it as we buy food to our dogs breed (They have strictly diet to keep them in shape) so we wouldn't switch anyways but gosh this is terrible. Spread the word so more pet owners get to hear this!

Just because it's on the internet doesn't mean it's free to use! Respect creators and their rights and quit sassing that they don't wanna give you something whenever you say and want like your parents do.

Don't listen to them jakei, they're spoiled kids that think they can do anything without consequences and people who think the whole world is around them. They feel strong behind a screen but in real life they wouldn't feel so brave. We're here to support you and will do as such as we can to help out.

I don’t get it.  People mad and complaining at me because I try to defend my work. I’ve been very clear. If anyone wants to use my content and monetize them, they must ask me for permission first.  Excuses like “I didn’t have any way to contact you”,  “This is fair use”  are not valid at all…if you took the content anyways just because you didn’t know how to talk to me.  People calling me hypocrite because I’m using Undertale to make money. As if I were doing something wrong, I’m following Toby Fox’s rules. Underverse and XTale are a fanfic. Animated all by myself, with original music and sound effects.  It takes me months of work to give just a few minutes of entertainment, and once the episode is finished and released, I get extremely tired and sick. I can’t even enjoy my own work at all. It seems they have no idea how much I have to deal with pressure and stress. I’m not sure at all, but reacting or adding voices can be easier if they have the main art already.  I had to do those rules because of dishonest and very bad people years ago. Maybe others had a good intention to spread my work in other languages. But if they really wanted to do so, they should be aware of my rules.  Just because another artist is cool with people using their work, it doesn’t mean I have to be like them.  I have to keep bottled up these things, even if they make videos publicly sending me shit and hate with their followers, that was not necessary. I’m not making drama giving names and talking about specific people. At this point, I feel alone. Because apparently, everything I’m doing right now is bad and selfish. More than 250 videos detected by Youtube Studio that includes my content. And still they think I have something against them, that I’m not being fair.

I just got back into art in general, and I want to try taking up some digital drawing as well. Do you have any recommendations of drawing tablets for people just getting into it?

Welcome back and congrats! Digital art is awesome and you’re gonna have a great time, I’m sure! If you’re interested in a drawing tablet I’d definitely suggest a smaller, relatively inexpensive tablet to start out with. Sure, big tablets and drawing monitors are awesome and cool but if you’re just starting out and giving digital art a try then you’re not gonna want to sink a lot of money into something that you don’t need right away, you know?There are SOOOO many awesome tablets that are mega affordable and work amazingly! This is pretty standard nowadays but make sure the tablet you pick has pen pressure, because that stuff is dope. I personally recommend Wacom brand because 1) I’ve owned two Wacom brand drawing tablets in past years and literally only moved on when they broke years later and 2) they have a lot of support when it comes to drivers, interface, and help if you run into any issues or if you have any problems. Wacom has some really great inexpensive options that are worth exploring! ALSO if you’re looking to save a bit more you can check places like Amazon to see if you can find some good deals on some gently used tablets :)Overall just do your research and make an informed decision that works best for you! Ultimately go for something affordable and dependable and you’ll be golden :) Good luck!
