Diet for Low Blood Sugar
I realised I had been eating incorrectly for the majority of my life.
The Smart Blood Sugar Diet is a balanced, all-natural way of eating. However, what you consider to be safe can not be so.
You are not supposed to fast on the Smart Blood Sugar Diet; rather, you are encouraged to consume foods that are beneficial to your blood sugar levels.
Now, a little about me: I'm a vegan, I eat healthy most of the time, I'm not overweight, and I workout at least three days per week. And, yeah, I'm a paranoid healthy person who doesn't smoke or drink. So, how did I come to be infected with this deadly disease?
That is, after all, the problem! Much of the time, we have no idea what it means to be safe. Now, whether I eat brown rice or brown bread, I consider it to be safe. Is it, however, really healthy?
I fasted from eating good fats and would literally flee from the sight of ghee or butter. That's just not good for you! To remain healthy, our bodies need healthy fats.
But then I became a victim of all of these low-carb, low-fat diets that pretend to be "balanced," but are simply junk diets that deprive our bodies of vital nutrients.
Did you know that our bodies need healthy fats to consume the majority of nutrients? I didn't realise that until starting the Smart Blood Sugar Diet because I was so focused on getting my waist to a certain size and missing the concept of being healthy.
Eating well entails consuming high-quality, nutrient-dense foods rather than low-calorie foods. For example, you can consume 100 calories from a bag of chips and another 100 calories from an apple. So it won't make much of a difference in terms of calories, but it will make a big difference in terms of wellbeing.
