And from yesterday, before the cheek feathers he had stuck on him finally fell off

The longer Smaug goes without coming out of his cage, the more he eyes me up.
So far, today has been the first day without a single issue stretching out his wing, so if that keeps up we might be able to start taking him out soon. Can't wait for him to be fully healed!

The cone was removed today and so far Smaug hasn't had any additional trouble.
Cross your fingers for us that he might be on the full recovery path!

Smaug preens his cone like it's made of feathers.
Tomorrow my husband and I get to attempt to change the cone to a new one, because Smaug has found a way around the cone to reach his wing. He spends his days contemplating how best to destroy everything, especially me

Smaug unfortunately only had an hour out of the cone before it needed to be put back on; he tried to bite through his wing because the pain relief he was on kept him from feeling it. So I now have medicine to apply daily and two weeks until another checkup.
We're both so tired
