Hi everybody! I need to talk about something.

Over the past several months I’ve been noticing that my stress levels have been increasing by a dangerous amount. My struggles with trichotillomania are worse than it’s been in years, I suffered an awful burnout about halfway through July that I’m still recovering from, and I’m just unhappier overall. Although there are many stressors in my life, much of this I believe can be traced back to this blog.

What once was a fun side project for me to do in between other works has, over time, become something more akin to a chore or a second job, and as such I think it would best if I stepped away from this comic altogether. I don’t know for sure if it’s permanently cancelled or just on indefinite hiatus. I want to leave it open ended in case I ever decide I want to continue where I left off or even try again through a different medium. But for the time being at least, everything is going to be put to a halt.

Please know that this is not a decision that I’m making lightly. I’m so sorry to have let you all down. I’m sorry that I wasn’t strong or fast or capable enough to see it through to the end. I’m sorry that you may not be able to see the story I’ve invested you in to the end. And I’m sorry that I’m breaking my promises. But, at the end of the day, I need to prioritize my mental health. I hope you can all understand.

Thank you for all of the support given to me over the past year and a half, for 100+ followers on this blog, and for helping me get this far. I’m going to try to be more active on my Twitter and Tumblr mains (ItsGemystic for both) if any of you still want to show some support, but unfortunately I am starting to move a bit away from SMG4 content as time goes on.

Hey everyone! Quick announcement:

Regenesis will be on a short hiatus throughout the month of July

I’m doing this so that I can focus more on this year’s ArtFight! I didn’t get to do quite as much last year as I’d done previously, so I’m taking a small break in hopes on getting more done this time around. I already have big plans!

If any of you are also participating, I do still have Regenesis Niles and SMG0 up on my profile! Feel free to come take a look, even if you’re not taking part.

You really didn't think this through did you Niles? Mario isn't trapped with you. You're trapped with him. Consider that karma because whether or not he remembers the past you will never be safe from him and his antics. And from what I know about Mario, between you and 0 you are the much more entertaining victim.

OOC question for the blog runner. Why didn't you call it the "no decay" AU? Since it's canceling what meggy said in the wotfi of "let your control decay away"? Not like I'm complaining, I can use that name for my own au, but it's just a bit interesting that we went in different directions for naming a "Niles wins" au

My line of thinking was that it’s a “new start” of sorts so like “re” meaning again and “genesis” meaning beginning or origin, so like a do-over. It’s also a call back to the fact that this au is Genesis arc canon divergence. I would’ve never thought to name it after a line from the WOTFI song lmao. But hey, as you said, that means you can use it!
