I’ve moved! Just a small PSA, if any one cares, I’ve been terribly inactive for a very long time and I hope to alleviate that.

"Oh, he's talked about you. It's nice to finally meet you."
"Oh, sorry. No. I’m Darcy. One of Thor’s friends."

"Ah, no. No. A few empty leads here and there, but that's about it. I'm working on the next one, but, apart from that, I'm fine.

”Thank you —— it’s been a while. How have you been? Did you —— did you find him?”

"Oh, did he now?" Well, that was unexpected. "That was awfully nice of him -Thanks." He said, catching the towel Peter threw to him. Once he dried himself off, Steve sat down on the bench next to the brunette and quickly gulped down some water. "Ooh, commissions, those sound fun." Steve chuckled before sighing, knowing that he owed the other an explanation of why he was exercising at such an odd hour of the night. "What can I say? I'm old, Peter. I have a lot of skeletons in my closet. Not to mention some ghosts that like to come back and haunt me."
"Yeah, Tony showed me some old pictures he managed to dig up." Peter grinned playfully, tossing a towel at the other. He sat himself on one of the benches, taking a little sip from one of the bottles of water. "Not really. I’ve been tinkering and taking commissions mostly." He cast a little glace at the other. "Come on, Cap. You know you can tell me."

"That's not how I would've chosen to explain it, but that's one way of putting it."

“Am I that special ?” Loki chuckled

"That's an interesting name," he commented with a smile. "A mutant?" He echoed, looking at her with a quizzical expression. "No, no. I was in this program back when I joined the Army. They, uh, gave me a serum," he trailed off having never really put his past experience into words. "What's a mutant?" Working at SHIELD Steve had heard the term being tossed around before, but no one ever gave him a concrete explanation.

Rogue tugged her glove on more tightly before merrily accepting his hand in a shake. “Ah’m Rogue… Steve.” She grinned at being able to use his real name. “So… Are you really not a mutant then?” She asked before she could stop herself. His abilities just reminded her too much of others like her.

"What if she doesn’t like who I’ve become now?" He mumbled, frustrated both at the fact that he let the conversation go as deep as it had and, like in the past, he still knew that he wasn’t the best conversationalist around women. "Well," he mused, running a hand through his hair, "Hopefully she isn’t like any would-be scientists I know, I couldn’t handle going out with someone who’s Stark’s clone." Nothing against scientists themselves, but he had started off things with Stark on the wrong foot. "So, do I have to call her or something?”
The redhead’s eyes narrowed in the slightest. “Are you being self conscious right now, Rogers?” Her tone was accusing, but it was all in good nature. She understood where he was coming from on this, probably more than most would. “Your past doesn’t define you as a person, it’s whom you have become now that matters. And what’s that one quote; opposites attract? Maybe it’s a good thing even if you do end up being that way.”

"I am," Steve grinned at her enthusiasm, still not too used to being recognized on the streets. "You can call me Steve, though. Oh-" Steve quickly placed his pen down, holding out his hand out for her to shake in order to give her a proper introduction. "I'm Steve. Steve Rogers."

Rogue nodded. “You’re Captain America, aren’t you?” She questioned with excitement laced in her voice. She usually didn’t act like such a fan girl but come on! It was Captain America! He’s been all over the news for months now.

"You might’ve mentioned music. You should really try out boxing, I could give you some pointers some time."
[ Steve could see that his convincing the kid was going nowhere, so he decided to take a different approach - as much as he wanted to make sure the kid stayed safe, he could see it was time to let the subject go. ]
"So, music, huh? Are you any good?"
[ Needless to say, Steve had his doubts that the kid was amazing, but he was also curious to what type of music he made. ]

"Well, I mean, I make music. Did I say that? That keeps me out of trouble, but it’s also more of an indoor activity…"
[He was just musing aloud now. Whether or not the other cared was beyond him, but they guy seemed friendly enough that he wouldn’t mind talking to Zee.]
"I don’t think my noodle arms would hold up that well against a punching bag, really. I guess I’m not opposed to trying something new out, though."

"Not of the plan, no. Can you blame me for being a little cautious around you?"

“Oh come on now , Rogers. You’re not that afraid , are you ?”
