Could the small thirteen years old hear, as she tugged on the jean sleeve of the slightly taller boy walking in front of her through the school hall.

« Please Steve! my friends won’t go with me, and I can’t just go alone. »

She pleaded only to receive a annoyed look from the pre-teen. Freeing his sleeve in a rather harsh manner, he scoffs at the younger girl who was still on his tail. She continued on pleading for him to go with her. After all, they were friends, best friends even in the eyes of Y/N, they knew each other ever since they were babies, living practically right next to each other. They would always be together, mostly because Steve’s parents were rarely home due to their jobs, and so he ended up with her. As baby, they couldn’t sleep unless they were in the same cribs, they would always eat right beside each others, hold hands. Hell, Steve even proposed to her when he was five with a toy ring, telling his parents he would marry her when they both would be “grown". And it went on like this for years. Until they started middle school. Something changed. Steve never was at her house anymore, nor was he even talking to her unless he completely HAD to. She knew she technically was breaking one of his rules he set for her to follow. She was talking to him at schools. A huge no-no in the boy’s book. This was urgent. She wouldn’t be there talking his ears off unless she truly needed his help.

Billy Hargrove is not a poor misunderstood wooby

He is a victim of abuse. He lashes out in anger because that’s what he knows. He’s a bully and an asshole. He hurts others because he’s hurting, but that doesn’t make it okay.

Billy is rough and he’s cruel. He’s angry and he takes it out on people who don’t deserve it because he can’t take it out on the person who does - but that doesn’t make it okay.

He’s in pain and he causes others pain. Because that’s what he knows. but that doesn’t make it okay.

And I love him. He’s an absolutely fascinating character. And I really hope season 3 develops him more.
