From Monday 18th to Friday 22nd I went on a coach trip to Bournemouth, and what better way to spend two of the days going over to Swanage.

Walking up to the ruins of Corfe Castle gave a brilliant view of the Swanage Railway and allowed me to properly use my 40-150mm lens. For my first time I have to say I’m chuffed with the results!

I’ll definitely have to make my way back at some point!

i tend to be generally fearless to a bit of a fault but today i experienced a split second of absolutely primal terror

i was coming home from a hike and was in the mountains waiting for a train to pass so i could cross the tracks. i briefly looked up to look at the train as it approached because i understand the appeal of a good train. i was met with this sight, actively approaching me

my sense of fight or flight is pretty dormant but it hit me so hard i felt vaguely nauseous for five minutes. i sat there in my car looking like id seen someone get shot. for some reason my brain could not process thomas and all i knew was that suddenly my world was very different and very, very frightening

What a day!

On Saturday I made my way to Derby for The Greatest Gathering at Litchurch Lane. With guests of all eras, it was a day I will never forget.

There was plenty to see, with quite a few locomotives and multiple units I’ve been wanting to see up close!

Jokes aside, I've been busy with... well, this! Among many other things. This wasn't meant to take literally all month but art block decided to say hi so here we are. Anyway! I had to draw my silly OCs being silly at the beach, being july and all that. Left to right, they are:

Here it is, my visit to the Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway!

It’s a lovely little railway and I enjoyed every second of my visit. It’s not often I go so it’s always worth the long drive!

Arriving in the morning, I managed to catch River Mite sat on the back of a truck ready for her visit up to Wales! (Even though it was technically Mike visiting the Talyllyn Railway)

Although pleased the weather has cleared up, I’m sure if it hadn’t it wouldn’t have fouled my experience!

Hellooooo!

Went on holiday to the Lake District which means a visit to both the Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway and the Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway.

Despite it absolutely chucking it down, my visit to the Lakeside and Haverthwaite was well worth it. They have some lovely stock there!

Actually watching breaking bad is fucking hilarious. Like for ages walter white has been presented to me as this cool tough smartguy and he’s genuinely the dumbest motherfucker on earth. These business strategies would sink a regular business, he’s fully clueless about the realities and risks of selling illegal substances and just hands those things off to a guy who keeps telling him “dude yo this is a bad idea”
