No cuz why are you so right! I totally get you. It Feels Like They are scared to make the characters interact more. I would Like to See human cuddle a borrower because They are so scared Q.Q

The one actual movie about changing sizes called "Downsizing" was such a dissapointment for me. I thought we Will get Something nice about size difference And how would you live If you we're this Tiny With your partner only to be met With everyone shrinking Into this Tiny town And basically it Turned super boring.

Plus an actual G/t movie (Jack And the beanstalk) I was really excited for was canceled...which Made me actually super sad because it looked really pretty.

I am quite big Fan of Gullivers travels either the book From Jonathan Swift or the movie With Jack Black And other. Once i was Reading the book at school and my teacher Started talking to me about that the size has actually a political Meaning And Its Satire. Since then i had quite problem to view the Story the Same way i did before.

Its just super rare to see any good G/t filled movie or series And When there Is size difference Its not the way we would Like to. People Are trying to Display giants Like mindless beasts but It would be nice to see An actual gentle Giant Q.Q

G/t Shouldn’t Be This Niche

It’s disheartening how society seems to have quietly decided to overlook us.

Because it’s not like people don’t feel something when they see size-difference media. Play any clip where Big is tender with Small, and the Warm Fuzzies™ hit instantly. I saw it just the other day while watching The Iron Giant with my class. All I had to do was look around the room—that “you have no idea the violence it took to become this gentle” energy resonates with people. Deeply.

The problem is how rare that kind of content is. And when it does show up, it’s usually not made for us. It’s tailored to a broader audience, missing the heart of what makes the dynamic so delicious.

It’s kind of like this:

Even the classics—Gulliver’s Travels, Jack and the Beanstalk, The Borrowers—are steeped in metaphor and moralism. They’re more about representing abstract concepts than exploring the wonder of size itself.

There’s such an untapped market here. Imagine if mainstream media embraced size difference purely for size difference. No allegory. No subtext. Just the scale, the intimacy, the gentleness, the awe.

What a world that would be.
